Cuts like butter! Well, more like warm cream cheese. Drilled water spigot hole in porcelain/steel sink.Pilot bit is not carbide. First drilled a pilot hole with solid carbide 1/4". Pilot bit/hole holds cutter in place. Happy Happy Happy.

Almost junk. Good thing two bits come in the order because the first one pretty much disintegrated in about 1-2 minutes of use. Center drill snapped and the carbide teeth on the "shell" broke off almost immediately. In fairness, the second bit did complete the hole I was trying to drill, albeit ragged and oversized.
