子供の頃見て、そして自分の息子にもと思い購入。私にわ懐かしさを感じ、子供達も何かを感じたように思います。

EVEは気の強い女の子っぽいし、Wall-Eは気弱な男の子っぽい演出が良かった。 可愛い機械の描写がとてもうまくされていて、エンディングまで惹きつけられた。

ウォーリーの可愛さだけで観る価値は満点！星5つです。 私個人としては、エンディングテーマ曲のピーター・ガブリエル「Down To Earth」にも感動しました。

Director Andrew Stanton (Cars, etc.) does it again! Cars (Widescreen Edition) What a great film and a great DVD that's been put out by Disney-Pixar. Yes, of course there are messages about the environment, but critics to the contrary (the one star wonders) this is a message that needed to be said. And said in a very entertaining way. It's a love story -- the little trash compactor Wall-E who is the last of his kind, achieved sentience and collects all kinds of stuff. Talks to my inner pack rat. And EVE, the female robot with the electronic giggle who shoots straighter than Annie Oakley and though at first run by her "directive" can bypass her programming and make things happen. Gee, I might be set up in my "programming" too -- Internet, TV, commercials, etc., etc. It's a sci fi nostalgia: Otto the Wheel auto pilot of course is an echo of HAL in the great film 2001: A Space Odyssey -- they even play the theme from it! 2001 - A Space Odyssey (Two-Disc Special Edition) It's a film of discovery: I don't just want to survive, I want to live. It's a wake-up call that there's more to life than shopping malls and insincere mega-corporations (B&L).... And are we blocking out so much human contact through the internet and sucked so into our iPods we forget there are people out there to meet and greet. It's a seamless animation piece. The sound effects, live action and animation are so seamless, so perfect -- Pixar has really raised the standard. The DVD: Interesting box, funny reticular cover. Little cardboard holder for the DVD itself with a list of scene selections. Burn-E, another little robot droid who gets sucked into the adventure of Wall-E and EVE. Presto, a fun animation that harkens back to the good old cartoon days of Hanna Barbera and Chuck Jones films of the fifties and sixties. Deleted scenes add a bit more to the story but nothing spectacular. Wall-E's tour of the universe takes us out there, gives a bit more animation. The legends of Disney sound effects and animation go into fascinating detail. If you're a history buff of Disneyania, then this is for you. Sneak Peeks gives us the low-down on the newest DVDs coming out: Prince Caspian, the 70th anniversary of Pinocchio and more. Actual NASA space shots in a lot of sequences. And of course the advertising and the yada yada we're Disney blah blah. But that's OK too. This set is a great product and Pixar's animation magic makes it worth the price of the box!

Ich habe selten einen solch wunderschönen Film gesehen, wie er mir hier präsentiert wurde. 'Wall-E' ist kein gewöhnlicher Film und gerade deshalb einer der besten, den ich je gesehen habe. Film: Der Film ist wie ein Gedicht aus Bildern. Die erste Hälfte wird so gut wie nicht gesprochen - und trotzdem fühlt man mit den Charaktären mit. Da ist für mich das nächste Meisterwerk in deisem Film: Ich habe mich in der ersten Sekunde in den kleinen, kastenförmigen Roboter Namens Wall-E verliebt. Seine Augen drücken so viel Gefühl aus, wie das nur manch ein Schauspieler vermag. Man erkennt darin sein Mitgefühl für andere Lebewesen, sein Interesse an der Welt und seine Einsamkeit. Somit wird mit dem Auftreten von EVE unter anderem eine wirklich schöne Liebesgeschichte daraus. Es ist mir ein Rätsel, wie sie es geschafft haben, eine Liebesgeschichte zwischen diesen beiden Charaktären so süß zu gestalten, aber es ist unheimlich romantisch geworden. Der kleine und unbeholfene Wall-E und die trotz ihrer Waffe sehr weich wirkenden EVE geben ein wundersam passendes Paar ab, deren Liebe über den Film ganz groß wird. Die Welt ist zwar sehr abschreckend gestaltet, allerdings ist gerade dieses Stilmittel wichtig, denn ganz so abwegig ist diese Vorstellung gar nicht. Ich könnte mir sogar vorstellen, dass das ein oder andere 10-jährige Kind sich fragt, wieso die Erde so dargestellt ist und vielleicht trägt der Film sogar dazu bei, dass Umweltbewusstsein zusätzlich zu verstärken. Die Darstellung der Menschen fand ich gleichermaßen abschreckend wie belustigend. Gerade die ersten beiden Menschen, die man näher zu sehen bekommt, unterhalten sich via Computer-Chat miteinander, obwohl sie nebeneinander fliegen. Der fragende Blick des in der Mitte fahrenden Wall-E brachte mich letzendlich richtig zum Lachen. Die letzendliche Botschaft des Filmes, dass wir für unsere Welt da sein müssen, und sie richtig behandeln müssen, dass sie weiter besteht, bringt eine wichtige Aussage in den Film - und die letzte Kamerafahrt über das gedeiende Feld hinterlässt einen positiven Eindruck. Selten habe ich einen Film gesehen, der mich so bewegt hat, ohne wirklich traurig zu sein. Er ist wunderschön gestaltet, mit viel Liebe für Details, er ist witzig, romantisch und hat eine wichtige Aussage. Definitiv einer meiner Lieblingsfilme, so mit der beste Film, den ich je gesehen habe. Bild/Ton: Das Bild der BluRay ist überwältigend. Die detailreiche Animation kommt mit einem so wunderschönen Bild daher, dass ich mich bei einigen Großansichten wirklich daran erinnern musste, dass ich es hier mit einer animierten Welt zu tun habe. Der kleine Wall-E wirkt richtig real, nicht zuletzt aufgrund der Bildqualität. Satte Farben, gute Kontraste und ein durchweg klares und starkes Bild steigern das Vergnügen bei diesem Film, wo das Viduelle die wichtigste Rolle spielt. Auch der Ton überzeug hier, wenn auch leider kein deutscher HD-Ton enthalten ist. Trotzdem ist alles gut hörbar, die Höhen und Tiefen stimmen und allgemein wirkt der Ton sehr klar. Von der bild- und tontechnischen Seite überzeugt diese BluRay voll und ganz. Extras: Das teilweise bemängelt wird, dass das Bonusmaterial nicht überzeugt, kann ich nicht wirklich nachvollziehen, denn man bekommt hier einiges Geboten. Auf der Hauptdisc selbst befinden sich zwei Kurzfilme, 'Presto' und 'Burn-E' (wahlweise auch mit Storyboards). Beide sind wirklich witzig und liebevoll gestaltet, wobei mir 'Burn-E' richtig viel Spaß gemacht hat, weil er parallel Zum film läuft und wichtige Szenen des Filmes nochmal aus seiner Sicht geschildert werden. Wirklich witzig gemacht. Die zweite Disc kommt mit einer großen Bandbreite von Extras daher. Eingeteilt in die Sparten 'Roboter' und 'Menschen' werden einem hier Einblicke in die Entstehung zu 'Wall-E' gezeigt, als auch zusätzliche Szenen und witzige kleine Episoden mit Wall-E (teilweise nur 30 Sekunden, aber wirklich sehr witzig) präsentiert. Sehr interessant fand ich, wie die visuellen und akustischen Effekte gestaltet wurde, und wie viel Arbeit das ganze macht. Wir als Konsumenten sehen ja nur die ca. 98 Minuten an Film und freuen uns darüber, doch wenn man mal bedenkt, was alleine Wall-E für eine Bandbreite an Soundeffekten braucht - wirklich erstaunlich. Das Highlight der Extras ist für mich die in Spielfilmlänge enthaltene Dokumentation 'The Pixar Story', in der haarklein die Gischichte zur Entstehung von Pixar geschildert wurde, die von einer Idee her nach und nach verwirklicht wurde und heute das ist, was wir kennen und lieben. Fazit: Was bleibt noch zu sagen: Ein wunderschöner Film in bester Qualität mit einer Menge guter Extras. Für mich einer der besten Filme überhaupt, ich habe ihn jetzt in kürzester Zeit ein weiteres Mal angeschaut und konnte mich mindestens genau so daran erfreuen, wie beim ersten Mal. Eine ganz klare Kafempfehlung!

Un très grand film d'animation, plein de tendresse, d'humour...et de philosophie !

What a little treasure of a movie! This is arguably not just the best animated movie of the year, but possibly simply the best movie of the year. There is an unabashed love of the essence of cinema, of visual stimulus and sound to tell a story which is rarely seen. Certainly, rarely imbued with such originality and warmth. Our little hero is a waste disposal unit, left on an earth which is polluted and trashed, slowly making his way through huge mountains of garbage. He has evolved a personality since mankind left 700 years ago.. a personality that lets him learn how to hold affection for EVE, a modern sleek robot who arrives one day on a secret mission. When she returns to space, Wall*E follows and he finds out what has happened to mankind and may even hold the key to changing their path, as he forms a deeper bond with EVE. The opening scenes are breathtakingly beautiful and detailed - the squeaks and whistles that form Wall*E's voice truly define his personality to the audience, and his antics never fail to draw the viewer in, as he collects artifacts (in a way reminiscent of Ariel in Little Mermaid). In truth, the most cartoon and unbelievable characters in the movie are the humans, once Wall*E finds them. That quibble aside, we are left with a movie put together with huge care and attention which delights from beginning to end. For the cinema buff, there are enough references to classics such as 2001, Silent Running and others to appreciate along the way. It certainly cannot be overlooked that this is probably the finest animation Pixar has ever achieved. At times during the first 20 minutes especially, you could almost be watching live action. But it is not just the quality of craftsmanship of the manufacture of the movie. Once again, Pixar have created genuine characters - even if they ARE `just' robots, and, crucially, storytelling that really works. Joyously, the eco-message is never slapped in your face in a moment of sentimentality. The tightrope between gooey sentimentality and genuine warmth is duly walked, with stunning effect. All in all, an unmissable movie - if you think you don't like animation, get off your high horse and prepare to be gobsmacked. If you like Pixar's output already, prepare to see them at their most imaginative. Simply perfect.
