I had been looking for speakers for a long time to put in my garage. I am a metal head from the 80s and always wanted something that I could crank up while I work in my garage. Perhaps overkill, but "when I listen to Judas Priest, so do my neighbors!!" ;) I started comparing these speakers to JBL and QSC and was blown away by the difference in sound. Seriously, it was that much better than those other brands! The sound was much clearer and the lows, due to the 15" woofer were really pretty incredible. I actually thought the store had a sub hooked up when I was listening to them! The best part was the Bluetooth connectivity. The fact I was able to connect my phone and test my music made it incredibly easy. After I compared it to the QSC and JBL speakers, I went to Amazon and found this bundle! The stands are decent, but the cables were wrong. I needed female to female and they sent female to male. No biggie... You can download an app for your phone and control the speakers. I was able to update the firmware on the speakers and do everything else I needed from my phone! Ultra awesome!! Weight for the speakers isn't bad at all and the handles make them very manageable. Build quality is VERY good but the speakers are plastic. I wish they were wood, but there are ups and downs to each. Sound quality would be better but weight and price would go up. I also bought the EV covers for the speakers and I totally think they are overpriced at $80 each. However, covering them when not in use keeps the dust off and makes moving them around easier. When buying ANY speaker, compare it against others and make your decision. So far, Im pretty happy and might also buy the EKK subs! ;)
