Revlon Colorsilk Beautiful Color Permanent Hair Color, (OLD VERSION) 20 Brown/Black (Pack of 3)

I wish I would have found this hair dye several years ago. I've been doing lazy touch-ups on the handful of greys around my temples, but touch-up products miss the other stray greys that pop up in the back of my head. Recently, this started bothering me and I decided to just dye all of my hair and found this product. I have very thick, semi curly hair that extends several inches past my shoulders so I purchased the 3-pack to do the job. I applied all three boxes, left the dye in for 35 minutes as instructed (for stubborn greys, otherwise set time is 25 min) and washed it out easily. My hair felt a little dry in the rinse, but I used all three packets of conditioner, let that sit for a few minutes, and once my hair dried it was super soft and bouncy, and smelled good. I LOVE the results! I would say the brown/black leans more towards black. I have fairer skin with yellow undertones and the darkest brown hair (almost black) and think this is a perfect match. Once I tried to dye my hair completely black and was horrified that I immediately looked like Wednesday from the Addams family lol. Luckily, this product didn't give those results. The dye is a soft, subtle yet rich black-brown. I love the color and it covered all of my grey hairs completely. I look 10 years younger with the coverage and that put some much-needed pep back in my step! The price point was perfect at ~$12 for a 3-pack. It's cheaper for me to purchase this way as opposed to going the touch-up route for $7+ a pop. I also like the coverage and color more with this product. How long it lasts remains to be seen, but normally with touch-up products I can see immediately where the grey coverage is not so strong and know it won't last long. With this dye, I feel like it will last. It is permanent color so I'm hopeful. Do be careful to protect your floors! Since I used so much dye, there were some splatters on my bathroom tiles which seeped into the grout. Surface spills were removed easily, but in between the grout was harder to clean. 5/5 stars! I will definitely be purchasing this again!!

This has saved me tons of dollars at the salon. So easy to use and I am 77 and still do my hair. Lasts for atleast 3 weeks and would last longer if your hair didn’t grow fast. I also use a touch up spray and extend use four 4 weeks. The conditioner is so good. I wish I could buy it separately too.

After years of bleaching and dyeing my hair at home, from burgundy red to recently deep purple, I decided to give my curls a break and go back to my natural color. This dark brown-black is as close as it gets! Hair feels soft, and well conditioned. Whole process took half an hour from start to finish. No unpleasant odor and wiped easily from my skin. The conditioner thats included left my hair feeling silky soft!

The grey coverage is great and does the job. I do wish that the dye would not also dye your skin in such an obvious way (if it gets on your skin), because it is a bit hard for it to come off.
