SmallRig Mini Matte Box Lite with Carbon Fiber Top Flag, Compatible with 67mm/ 72mm/ 77mm/ 82mm Lenses for DSLR and Mirrorless Camera

I purchased the SmallRig 3680B mini Matte Box Pro. It mounts easily and comes with aluminum 67, 72, 77, and 82mm filter thread mount rings. Allows the use of both circular filters and square filters. Unit is lightweight and blocks light from top and sides. I am very happy with it. Check out the unboxing and installation video I created for more information.

Just had a little fall with this thing today. Carbon fiber is always so brittle and easy to break but I was surprised that when cracks did form, the overall structure still held up and as a result the damage is merely cosmetic. I gotta say I wasn't expecting that. It fits nicely on all my lenses, especially with the myriad of adapter rings they included. It just so happens that my three primary lenses all have different requirements and therefore I never have to change them out when I'm switching lenses. Holds my filters snuggly, I never have to worylry about that. Can rattle a little bit when filming and moving around but that's when I'm moving a lot. Capturing external audio makes this a non issue, but for run and gun it can be a bit of an annoyance. Performs great, the doors never flap around, although the top door does tend to get crooked every now and then forcing me to gently bend it back in place on its hinge. That's a bit worrying. Still recommend. You get a lot for your money.

easy to use. attached to my 67mm threaded lens. looks super pro and makes you confident while holding your rig. had no issue attaching my Nisi ND filters!

Hard to go wrong with anything they make! Great quality, well-made and excellent thought processing and design consideration. I liked this one a bit better than the single-door model they offer.

Amazing Matte Box with great quality materials.

Now that I have it, I can't live without it. Wish I'd gotten a matte box sooner, and this one was perfect for my small light-weight setup.

Good quality production. Had to get used to the stiff slide in click and unlick of the frames. I wish the top shade would be mounted left and right on top. When mounted to my DJI RS3 Gimbal the top shade tends to vibrate due to it's single mounting point in the center, allowing the side corners of the shade to shake. Other than that this Matte box is perfect. Using Neewer ND Filters and it holds it perfectly. Love the quick mount rings and option which makes it easy to swap the box from one lens to another within seconds.

This a great matte box. I’ve got two now. It’s lightweight and attaches and detaches quickly to screw on mounting rings in the you lens filter threads. It comes with a selection of mounting rings including 77mm and 82mm which is great if carry a 70-200mm and 24-70mm everywhere you go like me. Switching lenses and popping the matte box from one lens to the other is pretty easy. There’s a bracket that holds the side flags and brackets that holds filters. Filter brackets are stackable so you can use multiple filters at once. The side wing attachment goes stacks over the filter brackets.

This matte box has a major flaw: it is nearly impossible to install the filter trays properly without using a lot of force, which of course you do not want to use around a 300 dollar filter and a 3000 dollar lens. The problem is the design: you need to slide two plastic trays together with a lot of friction, and the locking device--a set of tiny plastic tabs--do not fit each other well. I'll be sending it back and spending more on something better and useful. This flaw makes it nearly impossible to change filters in the field, which of course ruins the point of this product.

Just got the matte box. The price is excellent, and it's very light, but sadly that's where the good things stop. The matte box feels flimsy. It's made of quite thin and flexible plastic including the filter trays, and the filter tray system needs the entire front (the part that holds the flags) to be removed to add or subtract filters. I'd be very nervous putting any decent filters in those trays. I'd probably just return it and buy something better, except I'm fairly sure because I opened the box, amazon won't let me.

Overall it's ok, but filter trays are so badly made it's super hard to detach and clip back on. Feels like cheap plastic €1 product that barely fits together when it comes to filter trays mounting procedure. Apart from that it's ok
