Really nice, affordable upgrade!
I installed this as my first accessory on my first bike (versys 650 LT). It was a little scary taking off body panels and running and securing the wire all the way back to the connector under the saddle. However, I took my time and it was fairly straightforward. The indicator fits the accessory port on the Versys dash perfectly. It looks really nice!The indicator is very easy to read and works brilliantly. It takes a moment to display the selected gear. And you need to ease the clutch out for the indicator to read the selected gear. For example, when I pull up to a stoplight and drop down to first, I need to ease the clutch out about halfway and then the indicator will update and confirm that I'm in first.All-in-all this is a very nice upgrade to my first bike!

Must have if you are always looking for 7th gear
Drops right in to Versys “dash board” Circular knock outs.Run the wire to the Computer connection under your Seat.Shows gear while transmission is engaged.Unit does not show gear change if clutch is engaged while downshifiting.Cluth must be released, then computer will figure out what gear you are in within a few seconds.

For the price point..
Product is a sham. Even though it connects to the diagnostic port it still needs your speed to calculate the gears. Moreover, if you stop at a traffic sign at say ‘3rd gear’ and then change it down to 1st to be ready for the ‘green sign’ - it just doesn’t change from Gear 3 until to move at 1st gear. Giving it 1 star just for the price.

Needs better adhesive tape
Works well for what it is upgraded the adhesive tape with a stronger bonding one. All in all it functions well but during very bright sunlight it is harder to see
