After researching various types of hair dyes for head and beard, I settled on this brand. With much excitement I opened the package, read the directions, and followed them to the letter (cleaning skin prior to application, applying enough foam to the area to ensure areas were covered). Waited the additional 5 minutes for the beard area (as the instructions say you may need the extra 5 minutes beyond the first time 10-15 for this area.) I watched as the foam turned dark brown, and started to disintegrate as my beard started appearing. As it started appearing, it was still gray - I figured, maybe it started from the root up? I’m no Brad Mondo, but usually the roots turn quicker as they are closest to the skin adding extra heat to the process. The timer went off, I rinsed my face and looked in the mirror and nothing changed. Nada. Not one single hair. Additionally, it took some extra time to get the dye off my skin (which at first made it look like I had MORE gray!) But once it was all off and wiped away - I reinspected and to my utter disappointment, again, nothing changed. I figured - ok, let’s try this again. Rinse and repeat. Again, to my utter disappointment, and 30 minutes of dye time combined - nothing. Still gray. Not even minor coverage. Same as it was (especially from my sideburns down where most of my coverage is.) I had hoped they would offer a money back guarantee, but alas - they do not. So folks, when you are debating buying this and you see some of those negative reviews and you think “It’ll work for me.” Let me reassure you, it won’t. Save your time and money and get just for men.

I can’t speak on anyone else but I can tell you that it works for me and gets the gray out. I have fair skin and went with the light brown color how ever I’m going to buy a bottle of dirty blond and work on a layered style. Here’s what I can tell you: 1. The 5 minute process is FAST but it doesn’t last as long. I’ve used this method the day or two before being in public to give it a more natural look. 2. You really need to massage it in the layers of hair. For number 3 hair, I used qtip to do a quick mix in the palm of my hand with a glove on (buy any box of gloves too). 3. Buy a beard oil to keep it smooth. It lasts a while too. I typically do a die touch up every couple of weeks and I’m fine. But if you really shave down the hair expect on doing another full session. Hope this helps everyone.

Not happy with this purchase at all. Followed instructions for first time user. I could feel the irritation as soon as I put it on. I still had all my grey. There was no point to this week-long discomfort. Am I wrong or was it presented as having non of the harmful chemicals that cause irritation? I don’t want to mislead anyone about this product, it could be that my white skin is too sensitive but it’s not so different from JFM except that this didn’t actually dye my hair. Not trying a second time.

I am pretty disappointed. For starters the smell is pretty nausea inducing. Applying is messy, would be better if they provided a tray and a brush like JFM. Takes a long time to work. I also used the color accelerator and still was not as happy with results as I had been with JFM which costs much less.

I have a blonde/brown/red beard with way too much grey for my liking. Rather HAD too much grey. The product worked fantastically. I was worried that the dye would make it all one unnatural looking flat color, it did not. It def colored the grey out enough for my liking. I will continue to use this. I fully recommend it for greying beards.
