Wacom Intuos Pro graphic tablet 5080 lpi 311 x 216 mm USB/Bluetooth Black

I've used a variety of drawing devices with and without screens and I've found myself preferring screen-less drawing tablets mainly for posture and ease of setup. I've found the Intuos Pro L to be the best device I can use in terms of my own needs although it isn't necessarily leap years ahead of the competitors. MAIN POINTS + Large drawing area with a nice drawing texture + The drawing area can be replaced so you won't have to replace the entire thing if that specific part feels worn out + Driver seemed to work without issue for me on Windows +/- Extra space on the side alongside buttons, I don't use the buttons at all but nice to have for some people +/- Includes the Pro Pen 2, although this is standard in most high end Wacom products and the Pro Pen 3 exists now - They don't sell the smooth texture anymore, so you're stuck with the standard or extra rough textures if you want a replacement (and the standard/rough texture obviously eats up nibs faster) - Bluetooth does not seem to function reliably, although I do not really use it as it plugged in to my PC at all times TEXTURE ISSUES It is true that the default texture is going to eat up nibs like crazy depending on how hard you press it and I really do wish they still sold the smooth texture, but it does seem to be a sacrifice for a more paper-like drawing surface which feels a lot nicer than a smooth surface. Nibs are prohibitively more expensive than they should be (because it's Wacom), but at this price point you probably won't be worrying too much about buying replacement nibs to have a nicer drawing surface. COMPETITORS Pen tablets are already simple enough that it is extremely hard to justify this price point for someone who isn't looking for an end-all-be-all pen tablet. If you are looking at getting your first drawing tablet I wouldn't get this and would just settle for a normal Intuos, a Huion/XP Pen Intuos Pro equivalent, or the One by Wacom instead. At this price point you could probably buy a larger sized display tablet from Huion or XP PEN (such as the Huion Kamvas Pro 16) instead if you think having a screen might suit you better.

Das Wacp, K100912 Intuos Pro (L) hält was es verspricht, zu einem fairen Preis. Als langjähriger CGI und Comic Künstler arbeite ich mit unterschiedlichen Werkzeugen. Nun ist kürzlich mein altes Stifttablet nach vielen Jahren kaputt gegangen und es wurde Zeit für ein neues. Wacom war generell in meiner ersten Auswahl, die Masse an unterschiedlichen Tools erstaunte mich allerdings ein wenig. Nach einer kurzen Bedenkzeit entschied ich mich für das o.G. Tablett. Warum? Ich arbeite generell mit hoher Auflösung und über diverse Bildschirme verteilt. Daher brauchte ich ein Tablet das mir genug Raum bietet und mich nicht einschränkt, daher die L Version. Die Einstellungsmöglichkeiten des Tabletts, des Stiftes und der Buttons an beiden Tools erlauben viele diverse Möglichkeiten, und das pro Anwendung jeweils Unterschiedlich eingestellt. Arbeite ich unter Photoshop verwende ich gänzlich andere einstellungen wie in Unreal, Autodesk oder Blender. Die Touchscreen Funktion des Tabletts lässt sich leicht ein und ausschalten und aktiviert sich durch eine gute Seitenposition nicht von alleine, was äußerst hilfreich ist. Natürlich ist ein neues Stifttablet immer Gewöhnungsbedürftig, auch für langjährige Professionals wie mich. Allerdings war die Eingewöhnungszeit mit diesem Tool erstaunlich gering, nach nur zwei Tagen intensiver Nutzung arbeite ich wieder genau so flüßig wie mit meinem vorherigen. Zur Qualität: Wacom ist bekannt für eine sehr gute Qualität zu einem entsprechenden Preis. Das Wacom K100912 Pro ist da kein Unterschied. Bei 44x29x1 in der Maße braucht man ein wenig Platz, aber das Gerät ansich ist nicht schwer. Die Verarbeitung ist robust und hochwertig, was man erwarten konnte. Einziger Wehrmutstropfen ist für mich das fehlen einer Bluetooth Verbindung. Obwohl diese eigentlich vorhanden sein sollte, habe ich diese noch nicht gefunden bzw. aktivieren können, so das das gerät dauerhaft mit einem USB Kabel verbunden ist. Das ist ein wenig hinderlich in der Flexibilität, aber nicht so massive das es in der Gesamtbewertung einen Abzug bringen würde. Alles in allem bin ich mit dem Werkzeug von Wacom hoch zufrieden. Der Preis ist stolz, aber gerechtfertigt, daher eine klare Kaufempfehlung für alle Grafiker.

I bought the Wacom Intuos Pro Large to help me revise and relearn maths. I've never liked the idea of wasting tons of paper and wanted something digital. My reMarkable though great, isn't big enough and a whiteboard in my living room is not practical. When the device arrived, I thought I'd made a mistake with the size. The large is big, about as long as a full-sized keyboard and about double the width. But, I quickly discovered that the large is perfect for my needs. The Intuos Pro is also full of great features. It works both wired and wireless (using Bluetooth). It's function buttons are convenient as is its intuitive software. Merely touching a function button brings up a visual display to remind you what the button does. The pen is also great. No batteries to charge, eraser on the top, and it moves the mouse cursor when hovering just above the tablet. The touch capabilities are excellent as well with multi-touch and gesture support. While there is a small learning curve, mainly to set it up, I was up and running in minutes. Worth every penny.

Got my first Wacom tablet 1999. Lasted me until 2013. Then I upgraded to a Wacom Intuos pro medium. I have used that until now. Both my 2 previous tablets were for digital art and graphic design. Pretty much in use every day over that time. So do swear by Wacom. After using the medium for so long this feels very different. Bigger and build quality excellent. Have to get used to more space on the tablet again like it was on the first one. Got a good deal on it. Damaged box but contents were new and unused and in pristine condition. Very happy with this. Know Wacom Cintiq's are a thing but I've never used one. Going with what I know and with what I have a proven track record with and trust. Hopefully as with the last two. There will be a good few years of use in this one. A few things in using for 2 days. Setting up the Bluetooth was not straight forward. It wasn't just plug and play. Had to buy an Bluetooth adaptor and look through a few forums to get it working. This involved going into "services.msc" by typing that in the search. When that comes up resetting the Wacom Professional Service driver. Then deleting the pen in the Wacom Tablet properties and then just touching tablet again to make it work. So be aware of that. Lastly nibs. I think over the course of ten years I only changed the nib twice on the Medium 2013 pro. And I am a heavy tablet user. Line art. Digital painting. Two days in and that nib has worn down quite a bit. Other than that it's fantastic to work on.

Habe mir am 12 September 2022 das Wacom Intuos Pro Large «PTH-860» zugelegt, nachdem mein altes Wacom Intuos 4M «PTK-640» wegen verschiedenen Ursachen nicht mehr funktioniert hat. Ich nutze dieses Tablett für die Fotobearbeitung im Hobbybereich, was mir weitere Möglichkeiten bietet als die Maus und Tastatur. Das Grafiktablett ist nicht geschenkt aber, dass beim neuen Eingabestift Pen 2 so gespart werden kann, konnte ich mir nicht vorstellen, denn der Unterschied zum alten Stift ist schon heftig was die Verschleißspitze betrifft, da bin ich wirklich enttäuscht. Die neue Spitze hat eine Gesamtlänge von 19,80mm, vorher 26,50mm, einen Schaft von Ø1mm, vorher Ø1,7mm und die mini Schreibspitze eine Länge von 2,5mm, Ø1,57mm. zum Glück habe ich den alten Stifthalter noch wo wenigstens ein kleiner Stahlring enthalten war um die Spitze zu tauschen. Dabei ist der Verschleiß der neuen Spitzen recht groß, doch sie sind so winzig, dass nicht viel Verschleiß Material zur Verfügung steht und so der Verbrauch sich massiv steigert. Leider verkauft und liefert Amazon nicht alles in jedes «EU» Land, das Grafiktablett wurde mir verkauft und geliefert, einen neuen Eingabestift Pro Pen 2 mit 10 Ersatzspitzen kann ich sofort haben, nur ein 10er Set neuer Standard-Spitzen (11,26€) von Amazon werden mir nicht geliefert, was soll das. Beim Erwerb vom Tablett stand nirgendwo geschrieben, dass es mir nicht möglich sei neue Spitzen an meine Lieferadresse zu versenden und jetzt nach 200 Tagen kann ich das Tablett nicht mehr nutzen.
