JCALLY JM6 Pro USB C Type-C to 3.5mm Dual DAC CX31993 MAX97220 Digital Audio Portable decoding amp HiFi DAC Mobile Headset Adapter (Silver Blue)

Bought these along with Zero: Blue 2’s - for PC gaming/discord/youtube/music. First time using IEMs and this dac was recommended many times through reddit posts. Works as intended. Delivered quickly to Aus.

L'ho collegato ad un MiniPC con "Linux Mint 22.2" (kernel 6.14.0-36) ed è stato immediatamente riconosciuto come scheda audio esterna con le seguenti caratteristiche: Synaptics CX31993+MAX97220 HiFiAudio, driver: hid-generic,snd-usb-audio,usbhid. Le capacità di conversione da analogico a digitale del "JCALLY JM6 Pro" arrivano fino a 384 kHz/32 bit. Una capacità esuberante rispetto alle normali necessità di ascolto di un brano audio, che per i CD è di 44,1 kHz/16 bit. Io uso OBS Studio per registrare qualiasi cosa arrivi al PC, come per esempio i video di Youtube. Il "JCALLY JM6 Pro" trasforma in analogico i bit che arrivano da Internet ed invia il segnale audio agli altoparlanti. OBS Studio digitalizza a 48 kHz/16 bit il segnale audio in uscita e registra i bit su un file audio/video in formato mkv. Con ffmpeg posso estrarre il solo file audio in formato m4a. Nonostante i due passaggi consecutivi attraverso il "JCALLY JM6 Pro" è incredibile la qualità audio dei file ottenuti. In uscita al "JCALLY JM6 Pro" ho messo le cuffie over ear ad alta risoluzione "Philips Fidelio X2". Miracolo! La spazialità ed il dettaglio dell'audio che sento in cuffia sono supremi.

Really powerful dongle combo dac/amp, especially for the price. No audible distortion at all, can drive almost all IEM's and most headphones. Also has a really nice cable, but it is a bit stiff though. Only unfortunate thing is that it only comes in 2 colors. If you are new to the audiophile world, OR you are looking for a new dongle dac, then I definitely recommend this one.

A good cheap bumpup if you're coming from the Apple USB-C DAC for example, warning, audio does get a fair bit louder!

It provides crystal-clear sound with no coloration whatsoever, which is a huge plus. It has plenty of power to drive even the hardest-to-drive IEMs and 90% of headphones to at least 80dB (would not recommend listening to anything above 80dB). There is really no need to purchase a dedicated DAC and AMP. The only disadvantage is that the cable is not replaceable, so if it is ruined, you will need to buy a new one, but that is due to the small size, and nothing can be done.
