Amazing dock with 5 display support
I am using this on a MacBook Pro and a Chromebook switching between as necessary. It has been working excellent to give me 5 extra external monitors. Flawlessly drives the displays, easy to setup and use. It even came with USBC to HDMI cables. It does get warm so I would suggest keeping it somewhere with good ventilation.

Great product so far. Will update if that changes.
Works well so far. Runs very hot!!! Hot enough to have me concerned. I am currently driving five 1080p @ 60Hz off of it, which made me happy. for some reason the HDMI displays didn't work until i first unplugged them. That was either a thunderbolt to HDMI or an HDMI to HDMI. The TB to display port worked as soon as I loaded the software/drivers. I'm running this on Windows 11 Pro.

Does the job with minor heating issue
Needed a docking station that was portable and this does the trick. No issues except it heats up but that's normal when small devices supply a lot of power. Maybe a cooling mechanism is needed for future improvements.

Dense piece of tech
Bought this for work, It works like it is supposed to as long as it doesn't over heat. I am disappointed that the only USB 3.0 options are inthe front of the device.

Works well but heats up like a hot plate
Works exactly as described. The only issue I have is the heat generated can cook an egg. It gets too hot to touch and I have to run a cooling fan on it when it is operating. I purchased a USB fan and plugged it into its USB powered port so it comes in automatically when I power on the doc.

Crap drivers, disconnects regularly, not ready for release
I have an M1 MAX MacBook Pro from 2021. I had high hopes for this dock, but unfortunately, a nice piece of hardware is let down by poor drivers and a clunky DisplayLink Manager application. Problems (on macOS Sequoia 15.4.1): - The dock disconnects about every 20 minutes or so, and my BenQ displays go black. This requires unplugging the dock and replugging one of my displays directly into my Mac (bypassing the dock) to get things working again. If you had a headless unit e.g., a Mac Mini with no screen attached, you'd have to reboot. - Even with the optional "login extension" installed, with FileVault enabled, you can't boot up and have the displays work. A warning appears on my screens telling me to install the DisplayLink software, which I have already installed. - You have to install a driver. OK fine. You have to install DisplayLink Manager and leave it running all the time. As I said above, it disconnects. Additionally, because of some hack that they are using to get this technology to work, you see a "Screen Sharing" icon in your dock and on your login screen that indicates your screen is being shared. This is how they got it to sort-of work. It's a poor design. I'm sticking with my more basic Sonnettech dock, which is truly plug-and-play and bulletproof, and sending this $300 piece of junk back. Releasing a premium device like this without properly testing the drivers and working out show-stopping bugs is unacceptable in 2025. How this won any awards is beyond me. But then, tech reporters are pretty dumb and biased nowadays.

Excellent Product!!! For use 5 monitors
Excellent product! The Plugable adapter works perfectly for connecting multiple screens without any issues. Setup was simple, performance is stable, and the image quality is excellent. Very useful for boosting productivity — highly recommended!

I don’t leave that many reviews but I just had to for this one. After installing the drivers I found for it online, I plug everything in and it all worked flawlessly with no issues whatsoever: I had all my displays setup in the correct position, rotation and orientation within minutes. Setup could not have gone more smoothly. Only tested this on a Mac but I assume it’s just as good on Windows. Pricey, but worth it!

Excelente docking station, es de los únicos que soporta monitores ultrawide de 49" a 1440p. Mi única queja es que a veces el HDMI alt tiene intermitencias pero es raro y se recupera rápidamente

I've been living with this dock for the past two weeks, and it's good, but it's not a flawless experience. I had two instances of the Display Link Manager crashing, causing the screen to freeze. It actually happened twice on my first day of using the Display Link Manager app. I tried to troubleshoot but was not able to reproduce the crash since. The only thing I noticed is that I sometimes use the Mac OS "Invert Colour" accessibility feature. Initially, it worked across every display. Now, only the main display changes colours, but there's no more crash. Maybe it's related, maybe it's not. The amount of lag this dock introduces depends on the number of displays and the available CPU resources. This is because of how DisplayLink works: it compresses the video output on the host computer and transmits it over USB as data packets. The dock then decompresses the data and outputs it to the connected displays. As the number of displays increases, the amount of CPU time required to perform the compression increases. If your system has a lot of available CPU cores, it will help. However, more displays also mean more data to transfer, which will also add to the lag. As such, it's not a good dock if you do a lot of gaming. For productivity, it's fine. Similarly, if you have a lot of displays attached, you should also expect to see compression artifacts. I only have three 4K displays, so I did not notice any. This being said, I do not do design or colouring work. HDCP does not work, so no video streaming (i.e., no Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, etc.). Apparently, you can work around this limitation by disabling hardware acceleration on your browser, but I didn't bother to try. The alternative is to disable the Display Link Manager, which will switch the dock back to USB Alt Mode and watch on the main display (the screen connected to the HDMI 2.1 port). When doing so, the other screens will no longer work. On Mac, the Display Link Manager app consumes around 200 MB of memory and swaps an additional 600 MB if there are only two 4K displays attached. As the number of displays increases, the memory footprint will increase. CPU usage and latency will also increase. For two 4K displays, CPU usage is small, around under 3 minutes of CPU time per hour. This is around 25% CPU load on a single core. On a computer with 8 or 10 CPU cores, it's negligible. With three 4K displays, CPU usage was between 35% and 70%. The dock comes with a large power brick, about 6" x 3" x 1". Basically, half the thickness of older power adapters that come with Plugable docks such as the UD-768PDZ, which is a triple 1080p display dock. The dock itself is also thinner and has an aluminum casing. In short, both the power adapter and dock have a better build compared to older Plugable docks. Overall, it’s a nice dock, but it’s best suited for productivity tasks. This is a solid implementation of DisplayLink technology; however, the technology does have its limitations. In fact, DisplayLink itself is a workaround for other hardware constraints, so it’s important to keep that in mind.

I received my order however there was an issue. I ended up contacting Pluggable directly and they went above and beyond to resolve. While I haven't tested the product yet I will say I'm amazed at their customer service. Great company!

Does exactly as described. Easy to set up and I haven't experienced any issues with it. I have a total of 6 monitors and use 5 through this. Fantastic.
