The HOLOSUN 507C X2 is the real deal. The shake-awake works instantly, the solar backup is clutch, and the reticle options (2 MOA dot or 32 MOA circle) make target acquisition stupid easy. The green dot is crisp, bright, and doesn’t wash out in sunlight. The aluminum housing feels tough enough to survive a small meteor strike, and once it’s zeroed, it stays zeroed. Parallax-free, super clear glass, and the battery basically lasts longer than most New Year’s resolutions. If you want a rock-solid optic that performs way above its price, this is it. Your handgun will feel upgraded the moment you mount it.

Great optic ! Their pic rail lights are awesome too . Glass is ruby coated and extremely clear. It's as fog proof as it gets , but I still use a little cat crap..adjustments are easy ,built like a tank and solar backup is a must have ! Well priced too and fits perfect no gaps and looks sweet on a Walther PDP-F frame...adds no felt weight . The best on the market .

These green dots are bright! They are high grade quality with easy setup and adjusting. They are super easy to clean and see through. Compared to some other brands, I can afford these, and are a great value so you don’t pay too much. One thing to note, you need to use a green laser to zero them in. You won’t see red through this.

I purchased this to replace a Vortex Defender ST that has MAJOR design and hardware flaws. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $40 bucks and avoid the headache and hassle. The 507c/407c series of optics just work, the buttons are easy to access and manipulate, but not easy enough to inadvertently access and change your brightness/settings like the Vortex. Smaller battery but double the battery life, if you can explain that one to me, more power to you. Holosun just makes a better optic. YMMV but for me, this does the job and does it well. Also, if you're on the fence about forking out the extra coin for the 507c with the "donut of d*ath" reticle over the dot on the 407c, consider this... 1 moa is roughly the equivalent of 1 inch at 100 yards, so a 32 moa ring becomes a 32 inch circle, a 2 moa dot is 2 inches, and so on and so forth... But what about at 10 yards, 1/10 the distance? That 32 inch circle becomes a 3.2 inch circle, and that 2 inch dot becomes 1/5 of an inch. It's not going to make you a better shot by any means if your fundamentals suck and you don't practice, but when the adrenaline hits that ring is going to help you focus on that dot and make the hits count when it matters. Hope this helps. Also, side note, Holosun introduced a rolling change to their battery trays, the screws are now captured and "rachet", scared the living daylights out of me at first because I thought I stripped the screw but then I noticed that there's a ring around the screw for the battery tray now and after a little internet investigating, found out why.
