Does the trick without all the additives
I use this to help make my parrots medication taste better, when I compound it. I use a ratio of 1 part simple syrup to 3 parts distilled water

Why does this smell like BBQ??
I don't know where this simple syrup is manufactured, but when you remove the cap, it smells heavily of smoked meats. It's very strange. I even tasted it and still get so much smoked meat odor, I threw the bottle away. Yikes.
