Is this a US version with warranty?

Buyer Beware. This is NOT a US Nikon Body. It was supplied with a generic box that does not have the original cameras serial number on it. The serial number on the Camera body started with a 2. Generally most US Nikons start with a 3. Nikon USA confirmed that I did not have a US version. So no warranty and no software updates . No Manual or any paper work included. I immediately returned the Camera and they have only credited me with $283. I paid $555. Amazon is investigating why I received so little of a return.

Can this be Micro USB charged? I had an old camera which I actually was able to charge through the Micro USB slot with an external battery

I own this camera and the charging cannot be done through the Micro USB. That being said, the battery charger comes with an "in wall" charger and completely cordless. The time to charge is pretty fast and you can get about 800 (probably more) with one charge. That should be a fair amount for every day use. If you are an avid photographer we all know to keep extra batteries on hand while shooting :)

where the camera is made?

Unless they change recently, both camera and lenses are made in Thailand
