8 Panel dog play pen We didn’t think we would need a full metal play pen after purchasing a smaller more portable material one, but once the puppies were home, we soon realised we’d be needing something more sturdy than that, so bought this larger metal one. We ended up using the material one as a protective bumper around their bed for the first few nights, so no money wasted. This metal play pen has proved invaluable, not only as a full play pen, but because the panels can be taken apart and used separately, it’s so easy to use however you find you need to. We use it as a 6-panel play pen when we are eating dinner; they are puppies afterall and want 24/7 attention. Putting this pen up seems to make them realise we need time to eat our dinner, and they’ve been taking themselves off to bed. We use some of the panels to stop the puppies accessing certain areas in the garden when we go out there, we do not leave it outside, 2 panels are kept together in the shed; we use the panels up against the sofa to stop them climbing, and also as a smaller 3-panel pen with the doorway in the middle for bedtime when they are in their open crate. They can’t quite hold their wees through the night yet, so they usually get out for a wee on the puppy pad in the middle of the night, and we know they can’t get to anything they shouldn’t be while we’re in bed. Hubby was sleeping downstairs on the sofa with them for the first week until we got this pen, so (unfortunately for me) it’s allowed him to come back to bed - shame, lol! Other playpens were joined/fused with small clips meaning they couldn’t be taken apart and used in this way, so this one has been brilliant and I thoroughly recommend it.

I bought this from the resale part of Amazon at a knock down price.It is very well made and versatile. The metal is thick and there are about 5/6 long metal bars that you slide into slots on each panel so you can make the size of pen or "fenced off area" you would like It has a small gate in 1 of the panels that is about 6 inches off the base.I have used it in the outside while its been dry and warm and the pups can't get past it.I am now using 3 pieces as a type of dog gate in the hall so they dont get to the door as I can use the little gate for me to open and answer the door without the pups getting out. Its a briliant set up.

I bought this for newborn kittens and they are still in it. It's really easy to put together, change and move. The little gate is excellent. The only problem I have had is that when the kittens were between 4-5 weeks old, they were able to slip out between the bars. Now they are bigger this is no longer a problem but I had to put paper all around to prevent this. One for kittens with slightly narrower bars would be ideal.

Glad I bought this , very useful for containing a very young puppy when in the garden for peace of mind. Can be easily assembled/ disassembled and parts used indoors also ...good piece of kit and sturdy enough for my requirements

We were struggling to look after a small puppy whilst working from home. As expected, he was into everything, trying to chew computer cables, electrical cables, furniture etc. We needed to restrict where he could go, but didn't want to confine him to a crate or not be able to interact with him. These items were an absolute lifesaver, as they allowed me to pen off an area in my study for him to explore and have fun, but also keep him away from the bad stuff. The beauty is you can make the area as big or small as you like and they can be easily erected in another room or taken down and put away if after lockdown has ended you've visitors coming. We bought two sets and have used some of the panels outside to fence off a flower bed I didn't want him jumping all over. They are so versatile and easy to assemble / disassemble that we took some panels with us when we went to a holiday cottage, so that again he could have his own area to sleep in overnight. These have been an absolute game changer for us. I cannot rate them highly enough. We also got 5% off as they were on sale when we bought them. I'm a very happy customer.

We needed a tortoise enclosure that could be packed away when necessary (winter etc) this pen is very spacious, 8 panels does the job nicely. It arrived in perfect condition and was easy to set up, however upon trying to make an L shape we found that the panels will only turn comfortably one way (45°) so we had to problem solve that idea. It's sturdy and heavy enough not to move about and the pins give extra support. We love how versatile it is, we would recommend.

This is excellent very sturdy once together! Very easy to put up and looks fab! Great amount of space for two daxies! Love this! You can remove some panels if you find it’s too big which is great!
