I didn't have a TV, and so some roommates that moved out left me a really old JVC TV that had been in the basement forever. The side buttons didn't work well on the TV, and the controller power button and some other buttons were non-functional, so I had to fight with the TV side button to get it on, and use the sleep timer to turn it off. . . Not ideal. I didn't realize JVC was weird with how incompatible different controllers, and models and generations of TVs are, until I started digging into my replacement options. The TV is an LT-52P789, and the original controller, the RM-C1480, wasn't available anywhere, and the only place I could find online that guaranteed to replace the model that I could find was from some obscure website, and it was $40. . . I didn't know for sure if this controller from Amazon would work or not, but figured it was worth the risk; as soon as it arrived, I popped batteries in it, and it worked without needing codes or programming or anything!! Plug and play, and at a great price. Thanks for saving a poor man a few dollars!!

Matches original control. This is the second unit only because dog got a hold of first replacement one (original remote hit the floor and broke ) so I bought another one. Opened package, put in batteries and was back in business with the TV. Good price too. Better than buying a universal remote which is a pain to set up. Been there, done that. Definitely recommend. Good value.

Its a remote! When i hold it in my hands it feels well, like a remote. When i press the buttons it turns the TV on and off, or raises or lowers the volume, even changes the channel, much like a well…remote. I get sad when the batteries die and i have to get new ones but the miraculous power of electric current flowing through the wires and a millisecond after you snap that second AA in and see that little red light flash you know your best friend has come back to life…until the AAs fade away and die….such is the life of your everyday average works exactly as expected, as easy to lose as the first basic TV remotet.

Worked perfect on my TV! Only has a power/input button on it so I needed something to change the volume and it works great.

This remote looks and functions exactly like the original. The only thing I added was a label on the bottom to indicate this remote belongs to the JVC tv I have. I am so pleased.
