Prevents your mouth from closing and your jaw from relaxing. Is not a Mewing device. This is intended to stop mouth breathing, Mewing is restructuring your mouth by pressing your tongue against your palate. This does nothing to create pressure on your palate. It is a very nice silicon, soft on your teeth which it holds apart like a mouthguard to prevent teeth from grinding. Within minutes of insertion, it builds up a surprising amount of saliva which you can't fully swallow due to not being able to close your mouth. If you try it, be sure to take it out only at a sink with running water. It will be followed by a large glob of drool. It is not returnable even though Amazon gives a return-by date and takes you through the entire return process before telling you it is unreturnable.

I picked this up because I’ve tried mouth tape before and hated how it felt. This is a much better solution. It trains you to keep your mouth closed without taping your lips shut like a hostage scene, and that alone makes it worth it. I was hopeful this would be better than tape, but it did not work for me. I have tried a mouth product before and it didn't work, but it was larger and protruded the lower jaw. This was much simpler and more comfortable. I didnt have the problems other people had. Sure I produced saliva, but I could swallow it without difficulty. I only wore it one and a half nights, but it didn't hurt me like the first one did. If you've been wearing tape as long as I have, it's really unobtrusive and I don't think about it. Sometimes I take it off while sleeping, but most often I don't. The first night I wore this product I was so aware it was there. I feel like I didn't sleep well that night. Last night was my second night and I woke up with my mouth wide open and the product still in place. Tbh, when I opened the package my first thought was, how does this keep my mouth shut? Well, it didnt keep mine shut. To me, with mixed reviews it was worth the money to try it. Sadly for me it didn't work.

This thing is a social-life saver! I bought this instead of the other ones that are featured because it bragged that it helped with mewing. I try to actively mew whenever I can and sometimes I forget so this product is very helpful. I don't have to worry about using nasal strips and I can take it with me when traveling. Mewing is important because it can help with breathing and swallowing problems so I feel good about using this product regularly. I'm toning my face, breathing better, and no longer disturbing those around me. All I see is a win.

Good product that made me wake up refreshed and earlier than usual, HOWEVER, it made my upper gums on both sides sore. Not sure how to resolve that. For that, I stopped using it. (Update: The small family-team behind this product reached out to me and kindly offered a refund which I considered. They also gave me recommendations of how to allow my mouth to adjust to it since there’s m perhaps an expected fit period. Plus Star for the honest customer support. In this world ran by AI support and automation, I honestly felt good that Robert contacted me and took time to explain and offered a candid refund on top - this is RARE. Thanks Rob, and I’ll keep an eye on your product to get it again for any softer material if you consider that in the future).

After trying several kinds of mouth tape I stumbled across MEW-X and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! This little device is comfortable to wear and very effective at keeping the air passage open. Way more convenient than the tape (and a million times more so than C-Pap) and now I don't wake myself up numerous times in the night snoring. I don't wake up with dry mouth anymore either. Oddly enough my nasal passages have become clearer both at night and during the day, an added bonus.

This five cents of cheap plastic that sells for 25 bucks is a complete rip off. It is useless to stop mouth breathing, and just flops around and wakes you up more than the snoring. It is not even useful as a mouth guard. Do not buy.

Didn’t work for me , just falls out , or gets dry

The product is promising when you first insert it, but it moved around too much in my mouth as I slept. It would work well for daytime activities if that’s what you want to use it for.

This is just a mouth guard , I paid 30 $+ for two plastic mouth guard no box just came in a bag with a cord , if you use this it’s just like a mouth guard , there is so much saliva build up , don’t how can you sleep , I’m scared this is actually going to choke you in sleep .
