Best budget chip for my first gaming rig.It can handle most of the modern games @40-50fps and runs smooth with Intel HD 610 built-in graphics.I recommend getting 16GB of dual-channel RAM for the best framerate if you don't use a discrete graphics card.For starters with little kick, you can buy this chip.-----------------UPDATE: 2024-----------------I recommend i3 1200F for a new budget gaming build instead of buying i5 7400.Yes, of course you need a dedicated graphics card to run i3 1200F, but I can say it's a considerable upgrade over i5. You might wonder: is 4C/8T worth in 2024? YES! For gaming-only purposes, the i3 1200F packs solid performance cores.A great option for budget ballers.

I was worried to buy this as there were no reviews but I took the risk and it was worth it. The packaging was really good and there was no damage to the box. I have pared this processor with my gtx 1060 and I am playing all the games yet so far on ultra settings at around 60 fps. This processor is the best i5 processor that you can get in this date and also the price is really affordable

Excellent ! CPU under 14 k it is being paired with gtx 970 oc and gives avg of 60 fps and I got it for 13500EditNow it is paired with GTX 1660ti and this combo gives me avg of 90fps
