Tillamook Country Smoker Keto Friendly Zero Sugar Beef Jerky, Black Pepper, 2.2 Ounce (Pack of 4)

Tillamook also makes 'zero sugar' sausage sticks and those things are AMAZING. So I bought this jerky thinking it would be just as good. It's not as good...but it's alright. The price is better than most other options (by weight) and the flavor is ok. Overall, my only complaint is that this stuff was a little dry & brittle. But that can sometimes be personal taste.

Lately all the jerky I've tried, seems to be more like candy than meat - just plain sweet. I like to take jerky with me when I'm on the road - it's good to tide me over if I get a little hungry before I reach my destination or I need a little energy boost to keep going. The sugar stuff simply did not do it for me. So, when I saw this jerky - sugar free - I had to try it. It was exactly what I was looking for. The meat tastes great - seems to be good quality. One caution when they say all natural and no nitrites for preservatives they aren't kidding. I left a partially consumed package in my truck and it molded before I got back to it. But that is not a bad thing - as along as you know. We don't need to be eating cancer causing nitrites. I definitely plan to keep a package or two on hand for trips and emergencies.

I thought the first bag was a dud, then I tried the second and third. Just feels like I am chewing on mulch. Good flavor but I didn't like how tough to chew these were
