My favourite- If peaty whisky is not your bag, this definitely will hit the spot!
After visiting Glengoyne Distillery as part of my Brother in Law’s birthday experience, I came away smitten with the 12 year old single malt. I’m really not a lover of Peaty flavoured whiskies so discovering Glengoyne with it’s toffee, caramel, vanilla nose & smooth taste, this is a very special, easily drank little bit of heaven in a bottle. The secret is in the malting process with no Peat being used. Typical to the Glengoyne tradition of using only what’s best & local. I believe this to be the most southerly of the highland whiskies & if you’re in the area book a trip around the distillery or even better do as we did, one of the Experience’s (whisky & handmade chocolates or the Master Distiller’s both absolutely worth the money). To sum this whisky up, it’s easy to drink, easy to love & very easy to fall in love with!

Lovely Whiskey!
My father had tried this before and passed it on to me, thought I'd give it a taste. Nice taste not to over powering in any way, as I like to sip on the rocks. Bought this a second time and was cheaper than my local whiskey shop.

Complex, interesting - a great whisky!
I was gifted a bottle of Glengoyne 18 for my 60th and absolutely loved it. This 12 Yr old runs that drink very close, at a much lower price - strongly recommended - if you prefer peat-free whisky (as I do).

Tasting Notes: Nose - Toffee apples, a little acacia honey, nectarine in sytup and spice, supported by coconut in the background Palate - Over-ripe grapes, honeyed with hints of vanilla, coconut milk, oak spice & shortbread. Finish - A hint of sherry, soft oak and cinnamon spice. Very well balanced. Cask Recipe: 20% 1st fill European Oak Sherry 20% 1st fill American Oak Bourbon, 60% Hand-selected quality Oak Refill Casks.
