Musiclily Pro-SE ST-HSS-60SE Pre-wired Pickguard with Alnico 5 Pickups 5-Way Switch for Strat Style Electric Guitar, 3Ply Aged White

I worked for Leo Fender in the mid 80's and have been building guitars for many years. I had some extra parts and decided to put together a thrasher/ relic for fun. Not being real picky, I got one of these to throw on and try. I was pleasantly supersized how nice it sounds for the money. It has decent pickups and pots. Nice wiring job too.

I built a kit Stratocaster, basically threw away everything but the wood and replaced everything else. This was a very simple no brainer. The body was routed for humbuckers at the neck and bridge. I wanted a humbucker at the bridge, for now, so this loaded plate was perfect. I've heard people complain the stratchguard is "thin" .. I don't know, doesn't seem thin to me. It's a 3-ply guard, so it seems thick enough for me. It is simple to install as everything is already attached to the plate and pre-wired. It is just drop-in simple to install. The sound from the Alnico Vs are nice a hot. I have an actual Strat and I think these sound better.

I purchased an upgraded loaded pickguard from Musiclily . They have large supply of the parts you need, on budget, too. This pickguard dropped into the Strat body, soldered the input in, and it tested perfectly. A good product line and parts availability.

Once I removed the second layer of protective plastic the pick guard was really nice. Alnico five pickups give me the sound I wanted and this item was reasonably priced.

I love the tones at all positions, I was interested in having the HSS config. The Humbucker sounds great and when split the single sounds pretty good, not quite a chimy as I like but very acceptable. The only issue I have with the unit is that the “super” switch does not positively stop in positions 2 & 3 causing you to have to set off position to get any sound. This is not really important to me as with the HSS I mostly use positions 5, 4 and 1.

Pick guard came scratched. When I tried to buff it out, it was worse. Have to purchase a replacement. Not to pleased about that.

Les micros ont une belle sonorité supérieure à ceux d’origine. Il a fallut limer un peu le pickguard pour l’adapter au manche.

I have been building loaded pickgaurds for awhile now for my strat builds. Can't beat the quality and sound from this loaded pickgaurd. The electronics are of good quality the pickups sound amazing in all positions. This is my second one I bought and would definitely buy again if needed.
