Good little safe to travel with and an option instead of the hotel room safe. Has a spot inside for AirTag that did not limit the signal. Dimensions limit what you can put in it but for our use it held passports, cards, cash, keys, etc. and has the cable tie to secure it to a solid surface.

Well, if a small portable box with an electronic combo lock is what’s needed, I’m not sure you can do better than this one in this price range. The Good: It does what it claims to do. It is good for small items. It has a ledge that can be used to attach items if ya like to secure items inside from sliding around. This ledge can be removed and you have more room if needed. It’s a well thought out design. The lock is a hard plated keypad that lights up in red much like the keypads on Ford vehicles, so easy to read in complete darkness. But the buttons are a hard press not soft. They seem to be set at a good sensitivity and don’t have a mind of their own. It locks with the press of one button. The latch is large and covers nearly the whole side of the box. There’s a micro USB input for power if the battery dies. This will allow the unit to power on and put your combo in then open it. It’s not terribly heavy. It comes with a securing cable, kind of like a laptop lock. It takes one AA battery, which are common and hold decent power. I put an Energizer Lithium in it. It has a small designated area for an Air Tag. Nice touch. It seems well built. Cons: It’s cheap plastic. Probably easy to smash and open, but would be quite noisy to do so. The design could have us d an upgraded plastic, a bit heavier and would be a noticeable improvement for the feeling of security. The digits for the combination are just four numbers 1-4. Not a deal breaker, but somehow it would be nice to have alpha numeric or digits from 0-9. But we are nitpicking here. The backup power is a micro usb utilization. Anything, to me, that still utilizes micro usb is way out of date or is using it as a compromise. It forces one to wonder what else has been made budget friendly to the manufacturer. Plus, micro usb has always had issues, it was a terrible connection back in the day and is worse now. How many nickels extra would a USB C been? I think the pros outweigh the cons. This isn’t high security but it does the job of keeping simple, small low risk items to stay out of the hands of honest people in your life. Maybe medications around kids? Personal documents? Keys? I think if you’ve read this far, you wanna know if it is a decent product and for the money, it is. I would recommend it. Plus it comes in some cool colours.

Great little lock box. I have 2 other VAULTEK safes and was pleased with this one as well. It can probably be beaten by a relatively motivated individual with the right tools, but should be enough of a deterrent to think twice in a hotel room. Fits in suitcase and will come with me when traveling for locking up and tethering cash, jewelry, passports, etc. Also includes a convenient slot for an air tag which is critical.

Got this to use as a travel safe. I know some hotels has in room safes but only ones that has access is you and staff with the master code. This vaultek lifepod mini is nice if you have small idems like passports, cash, cards, rings, and a cellphone. If you plan on putting anything bigger then a watch or a wallet in it you have to remove the tray that comes with it and leave it at home because it will no longer fit. I really couldn't find any usefulness for the tray in my travels so it just stays home.

Yeah, I know, that's a stupid reason to buy this but it was on sale and I'm sure I'll need a lock box for some reason. It holds paper money really well and some jewelry I guess but if you want to put a phone in here, don't plan on putting anything else in it. The tray is basically useless if you put anything like the size and thickness of a phone in there. If they would have made the inside a 1/2" deeper, I think it would be perfect. A handle would have been a nice addition to this box instead of the carabiner clip. I can't imagine a scenario where I would want something this heavy dangling from that clip, other than maybe as in the pictures, clipping it to your kayak but how many people would use this box for that? You're not going to walk with it dangling from your side but you would carry it and a handle would be perfect for that, like they have to their Lifepod 2.0, which I also have. This seems like a great idea but the interior dimensions just aren't deep enough, just like in the 2.0 because just about anything you put in there makes the tray useless.
