Great pens for just about any writing need!
These are some of the highest quality pens I have ever purchased for the sake of art. I am constantly looking for good ink pens to use for my artwork, but I am fairly picky about which type of pens I like, but do not want to pay too much for pens that I may hate using. The Stabilo 88 point pens are perfect for small details, fine lines and for coloring in the Adult Coloring/Relaxation Therapy books (some of the books have such small details, that super-fine pen tips are required for best result). This set of pens has a very fine point tip which is perfect for detailing. And the pack can be purchased at a reasonable price! Some people have claimed that they only get scratchy writing with these pens, but it helps to know how to properly use and write with them. Because the writing tip is encased in a long, hollow metal "pipe," the pen must be held more upright when using it. The more angled the pen becomes, the more the metal scratches on the paper instead of the actual tip from which the ink flows. The pack comes with a variety of shades to choose from, allowing the pens to be used for color coded writing (notes and life planners), for coloring, and for use in a wide range of art projects. The pigmentation of the ink is heavy, leaving excellent colors on the page. When used properly, the ink flows smoothly and consistently. Another great thing about these pens is that each color has a specific Art number that is used to purchase single pens (when the ink in one pen is completely used up, you can buy a replacement for that ONE pen instead of buying another 30 count set). Simply look up "Stabilo *insert art number (ex: 88/33)* pen" and buy the same color pen that no longer works. My choice to buy these pens has been one of the best art decisions I have ever made! Great multifunctioning pens, large variety of colors, fair pricing, and easy replacement make this product worthy of purchasing and then recommending!! (The photos are so you can see the Art Number and then a recent line & detail free-hand work I recently used these pens to complete).

Worth the purchase!!
The quality of these pens are great! The feel of the pens in the hands, the tip length, and ease of use make these pens a great purchase. The pen tips are just right to you can accurately color with them and there is little to no bleeding.

Staedtler, Stabilo, Pentel, Monami
I figure it would be easier to write one review comparing all of them. Triplus Fineliner(30): Out of the bunch these have the smoothest application and I enjoy using them the most. You don't have to worry about ruining the paper if you go over the same spot a couple times. You can actually fill up a decent size area without it being streaky like you'd expect with most of these products. It's unfortunate they chose so many muted/ dark colors (12/30 to be exact) and they are the most expensive. Bleed? Little to moderate Stabilo(30): Wide range of bright colors at a decent price. I find myself reaching for these more than steadtler because of the colors although they have a harder tip and can be scratchy, it would be hard to fill a decent size area but good for precision. Bleed? Moderate Pentel(36): Got these to fill in bigger spaces as they're cheaper than the steadtler colour pens and stabilo 68 pens. For the price they're ok. I love all the colors but really hate using them. They feather, can't be used for precision, and tear up the paper pretty fast. It's almost impossible to get even coverage as well. I'm not sure how much use I'll get out of them, pretty bummed overall. Bleed? Yes Monami(24): I love these things. They're CHEAP!, colorful, and bright- but not good for big areas. The tip is hard to explain, think maybe like Papermate Flairs except finer, great for details that can be hard to get with the other fineliners. They're actually good for writing as well(I buy the packs of black for note taking). It's smoother than the pentel felt tip but will still tear up the paper and can give streaky coverage (some colors more than others) if you aren't careful. Note- they sometimes "sputter" when brand new. Not a lot though and it subsides quickly. Bleed? Little to none!

Quality Finrliners
These fineliners work great. They're decent. I don't get the hype, but they do work well like any other fineliner. Price to quality ratio, I think the price should be lower. It can create precise lines and doesnt leak. It also feels stable to write with.

Pretty decent liners, i still prefer my sharpie's though.
These are pretty good markers, especially for the price i gave for this pack. I did a little quick side by side scribble/straight line/circle fill–in test for my sharpie's, arteza's and these stabilo's. Just grabbed red and black of each and scribbled my little heart away, as you may see as i do these stabilo's and sharpie's are clear winners in the scribble off. Those arteza's we're very disappointing so many were dried out or something of the sort and that was like the 2nd time I've ever used their black oh well not important, what is important is are the stabilo's a great coloring marker? Not really, imo anyway but their good. Their also a little stiff and harsh on the paper so u gots to be careful or you'll be coloring the picture behind yours lol. I've tried quite a few different markers from these to arteza to bic to staedtler to Pentel to pilot to Sakura and many more but i just always keep coming back to my sharpie's, are they perfect? Absolutely not but their the closest imo. That's in the under $20–40 per package price, i haven't ventured off into the expensive stuff yet. But anywho these stabilo's are better than alot i named off while also not as good as some i named as well, but that's all my opinion from personal usage....you may love them! Either way we both love coloring and bringing dull boring pictures to beautiful life so cheers : D

As an artist, I can 100% confirm that the ink of these pens does NOT run when you draw over them with alcohol-based markers, such as Copic or Ohuhu. This makes them a truly fantastic option for adding details and hatching when making marker art. Also I just love taking notes with them. It's easy to study your own notes when you have different colors. However, while these pens are alcohol-proof, they are NOT water-proof. Water will cause the ink to run, especially if there's a lot of water. So beware.
