needed new pump for pool and this 1.5 pump was very reasonably priced and works well and is very quiet. After a couple of months noticed the seal was leaking not alot but did not want it to get worse. Sent email with picture of issue and received immediate response offering to replace. Just closed pool and sent them email with model number and serial number a few days ago and just received new pump. Great to see that they are still companies out there that provide good customer service. Would definitely buy from them again.

I bought this pump to replace an older Hayward pump. After unboxing (I was very impressed with the quality), I read all instructions and installed the pump. Everything lined up and connected great with 1 1/2” schedule 40 pvc. I started it there was a loud noise coming from the back of the pump motor. After investigating by removing the pump motor fan cover I found that the pump motor fan was cracked and the motor shaft was just spinning inside the slotted center of the fan it self. Iv done several hours of research including calling Amazon and I am unable to find any info on the manufacturer “ jinan langyikeji youxianzerengongsi” or the seller “Langley Tools” or even a retail website other than amazon that carry’s “vidapool” products. Amazon claims there is no “exchange option” for this product only a return and refund. Amazon said to file a claim for an exchange I have to contact the manufacturer. There seems to be no help to be found with this issue. I just need another pump or a part number for the fan it self. There’s little to no info to be found online regarding this product.

So far So good, easy to install and use. Got a bit of "analysis paralysis" in trying to select the right pump for our 11,000 gallon above ground pool. Throughout my research I kept coming across this model, and I went for it. It has two speeds (high and low), and works well. Its not loud and annoying like our last pump which was pretty old, and vibration is minimal. The pressure and suction power is pretty strong on the high speed mode, no leaks so far, and quality is impressive. I did not give 5 stars as of yet because I have only had it for about two weeks and I am awaitingfor a reply to a questioni sent them via email. The warranty seems good as the company promises one replacement after registering the product. I emailed with a question around replacement parts if needed and have yet to hear back from them.

I have a path to buy more expensive brands at a discount but as we are nearing the end of swimming season, decided to try this pump. It arrived in a couple of days and I installed it myself. It is 110 volt with a pre attached cord and plug which makes the electrical easy as long as you have a grounded receptacle close by. Since my previous pump was 220 volts I am running this unit on a short, higher than standard amp extension cord. PVC pipe is easy to work with and the small difference in the position of inlet and outlet pipes can be addressed in minutes with a battery powered reciprocating saw, a few fittings, pipe and glue. My pool holds 22,000 gallons. The previous pump was 1.5 HP, 220 volt and pumped considerably more volume and pressure. Due to the volume of water pushed through the jets I have had concerns the pump I was replacing might be a bit more than my pool required, but it did what was needed to keep the water nice and clear as long as balance was in place. The new pump was almost silent, compared to the old one. The “high, off, low) switch is on the back of the pump and it is nice to have and reach. I have an automatic chlorinator that holds 3” tablets. Best investment ever made regarding pool chemical management. This pump does not provide a sufficient water volume on low speed to enable the chlorinator siphon to work properly. Low speed might be useful in winter to keep water flowing but for every day use, it is not an option for me. On high, the volume of water and noise is noticeably less than my prior pump. After several weeks of use, my water is crystal clear and the balance is on target. Thus far, my only complaint is I wish the low speed was high enough to be useful to me. It may be fine for others. It comes with a lever that fits into holes on the filter lid which facilitates removal. This pump cost less than half of the one I was planning to purchase. Thus far, I am very happy with its performance.

We purchased this because our skimmer line had issues and did not pull the water or waste through when vacuuming, we used this to vacuum out to the yard and is working great!

Perfect for my 18k gallon in ground pool. Low setting seemed like it wasn't going to be strong enough but my pool continues to be crystal clear and the water moves enough to keep the skimmer taking care of business. I run the low setting all of the time unless I'm vacuuming. The connectors seemed like they were not going to fit snug but once I connected the PVC with the glue, everything is perfectly sealed. I bought the extended warranty through Amazon for another $40 just in case (I'm not familiar with the brand). My electric bill was about $85 lower this month compared to the same month last year. Can't promise I'll update unless things fail, so consider it a win unless you see an update.
