YAMAHA Seascooter with Camera Mount Recreational Dive Series Underwater Scooter

I bought these last summer, and wanted to add to my post to remind people DO NOT BUY THESE!!!!!!!Before you buy these, go to the one or two star reviews that compromise over 50% of all reviews . They all have same issues and battery or unit suddenly stop working shortly after purchase of this item retailing between $400-$500 !I have three of these...returned one and all (3) quickly stopped working , including the replacement,last summer after limited use.I reached out to Yamaha with no response last summer and even after all this time,I am still shocked and dismayed Yamaha puts its name on this product and does not stand behind it, other than limited return time,and seems to have zero direction in fixing these ,when problems occurs ,after return frame .ONE OTHER IMPORTANT NOTE ON THIS REVIEW. I BUY MUCH MERCHANDISE ON AMAZON AND NEVER GET ON HERE TO LEAVE ANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS, BUT MY DISGUST WITH THIS WASTE OF MONEY ILLUSTRATES WARNING TO AVOID BUYING THIS PRODUCT

This is no toy! My wife and I purchased 2 and use if for snorkeling and the units are rated to 65ft, We ran all afternoon non-stop for 45 minutes in stiff ocean currents in Ft Lauderdale and the units still had power. They are easy to use and rugged. I highly recommend the RDS200 series for snorkeling and diving in shallow reefs. Yamaha does make other RDS series that run longer and go deeper.You need to be cautious though that you always swim into a current to start a session and be careful not to run out of power and be too far away from shore or the boat. Your weight and strength of the current should always be taken into consideration.

Used for 45 minute dive to 100 feet. Used throughout entire dive due to current. Plenty of battery juice after dive.

I purchased this item because I love to snorkel so I figured out it will help me to cover more area in shorter time, it gave me about 2 hours and 15 minutes of continuos usage at a great speed, loved the item and will definitely buy it again or recommend it to anyone, I’m 175 lbs and pull me with no problem wonderful color and I was the envy of many on the water.

Loved snorkeling with Yamaha Seascooters! We took the 250 and 300 to Maui and rode them nonstop out far to the coral reefs, snorkeled about an hour running them on and off then rode them back. In one day, they were both used continuously to the snorkeling spot and back and the battery did not die. The 250 pulled my 250lb husband no problem, but the 300 gave him more power. Do not hesitate to buy one, but note that they start to get heavy when hauling them to the water. We also bubble wrapped them, kept them both in the original boxes and checked them on the airplane.

Our family has had so much fun with this so far. Battery lasts a reasonable amount of time, we do plan to purchase a back-up just for those times we have multi riders. It really moves at a decent pace, obviously depends on the size of the rider - but no one, big or small have been disappointed!

This item is AWESOME. A few steps to take to remove the battery, but it is well worth it. We get about 2 hours of continual use from it. We use this item in a non-saltwater inground pool. It is heavy out of pool and totally effortless in the pool. It floats in the pool. It’s fast. About 1.5 - 2 mph adult and 2 - 2.5 mph for a kid. My son (8 almost 9) took about 1 minute to learn how to use it. I purchased a diving light to hook up to the GoPro mount for night pool swimming. Looks cool on it too. The cons are it’s heavy out of the pool and gets scratched up easy if it rubs the sides of the pool. But hey, who cares. If you wanted fun in the pool for you and your kids this is totally it. Plus it was the best price on amazon. If you purchase it then only move the kill switch (how awesome is this) in the water so the metal ring does not pop off as some were saying.

I am an avid swimmer and diver. This thing is a blast if you have Scuba gear or a great set of lungs. I am roughly 200lbs and this thing gives me some great pull through the water. Strap on a pair of fins and I can easily free dive to 30+ ft easily. Awesome for Scuba, and you can really get going if you are not fighting the current. 10/10 would buy again.

Ci si diverte moltissimo, facilissimo da usare, solo due cose purtroppo un Po negative, di cui una forse si può rimediare, accesso alla batteria e il posto strettissimo per i cavi che facilmente si possono pizzicare, altro è il peso che non è poco , buona parte dovuto dalla batteria. Comunque lo consiglio è una figata

Un po' macchinoso nelle operazioni di messa in carica della batteria, per il resto in linea con le aspettative, silenzioso abbastanza veloce e buona durata della batteria.
