Del Monte Fresh Cut Diced Potatoes, 14.5 oz. Can, Canned Vegetables

Convenient, great taste and texture. Buying again already!

--TASTE--These are excellent to eat and a staple in the pantry. They taste best when fried in a pan or boiled in a pot. They taste like... potatoes, good ones. When opening the can, the smell can be a bit unapeeling at first. But once you fully cook them they smell good.--PRICE--Don't overpay. Canned potato are always under $1 in the grocery store ($1 as of 2021; adjust for inflation if you're from the future). That being said, its impressive I can get 4 cans at a time for under $4 shipped to me for free. Del Monte Foods is doing a pretty decent job at keeping this canned potato price point. I’m rooting for them.--DURABILITY--Sometimes the cans arrive dented. But that goes for all canned goods on Amazon. I used to get irritatered by this, but I've gotten used to it. Most dents are minor anyways. If there is a real bad dent, then yes, I will ask for a refund. Let the chips fall where they may.--CONCLUSION--It all boils down to this: At the right price (sub $1 in 2021 dollars) these are a good deal. So long as they keep that up, I will maintain this review at 5 stars. But I'll be keeping my eyes peeled.

I'm a senior and have decided to be safe at home and have everything delivered. I was very happy to find these canned potatoes at such a good price. I use a can of these potatoes, in a chicken pot pie that I make, with canned peas and carrots, canned white meat chicken, cream of chicken soup, and Bisquick biscuits on top. I love it, easy and delicious. There's lots of other ways to cook these up. I will purchase these again, for sure.

I used a couple of cans to add to soup. Perfect dice for soup and the flavor is okay. You will not mistake this stuff for freshly cooked potatoes but the product is fine for what it is.My only objection is the sodium level, which is fairly high. After I drained the potatoes in a colander I rinsed them repeatedly to remove some of the salt. Surely no one is going to eat these things right out of the can, why don't these companies let us add our own seasoning instead of loading everything up with salt?

These are great BUT THE PRICE IS HORRIBLE ! I paid 98 cents a can last time I ordered in June!!! I could see maybe a small increase - BUT NOT $4 A CAN !!! I would never purchase from this vendor again unless they stop scalping the food. These new prices are ridiculous & horrible just to take advantage of people . This vendor should not be allowed to sell again!

I use these for quick sautéed in butter potatoes. Yummy! I also put them in homemade soups. You can’t beat the convenience and flavor of these.

I like these, they are perfect for SOUP :) good quality, great flavor, and nice price. YOu can also fry them which is really good as well :)

It's good when it's $1.42 a can, not such a good value when it's $5.99 a can.
