Very stiff but does separate the toes. It does start hurting after a while.

It's a little small. It works to some extent but keeping it in for longer than a few hours it becomes very painful. I don't think this is a long lasting answer.

Too small for the toes on my size 13 men’s foot. But I cut the circle surrounding my second toe and am wearing it without pain. I had a hammertoe operation 14 months ago on that toe. The tendon below was sliced. The operation looks perfect on an X-ray but the toe remains swollen and painful. TBD if the sliced spacer works.

I ordered these because my orthopedic doctor recommended them for my fractured big toe on the joint, which is where my bunion sticks out. He said it could help my bunion also. I find them semi-comfortable while wearing them with my crocks. So a wider shoe is needed, I think. It takes a while to adjust the position on the toe to not be painful to wear. They need to be worn no so close to the base of the second toe. That's where I found them most comfortable to wear when I walk with them on.
