CORSAIR RM750e (2025)
A Solid Contender for Modern Builds The CORSAIR RM750e (2025) continues to solidify Corsair's reputation for reliable power supplies, offering a compelling blend of features, performance, and value for mainstream PC builders. This iteration brings key updates that cater to the demands of contemporary hardware, making it a strong choice for those looking to power mid-to-high-end gaming rigs. Key Features and Updates: One of the most significant upgrades for the 2025 model is its ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compliance, including a native 12V-2x6 (600W) GPU power connector. This ensures full compatibility with the latest and upcoming high-power graphics cards like the RTX 40 and even future RTX 50 series, without the need for cumbersome adapters. This forward-thinking design is a major selling point for users planning future upgrades. The RM750e maintains its 80 PLUS Gold certification, indicating excellent efficiency, particularly at typical loads (around 87-90% at 115VAC input, and even higher at 230VAC). This translates to less wasted energy, lower heat generation, and potentially reduced electricity bills. Fully modular cabling remains a hallmark of the RMe series, allowing for clean builds and improved airflow by only connecting the necessary cables. The flat, flexible black cables also contribute to a tidier aesthetic. For cooling, the RM750e utilizes a 120mm rifle-bearing fan with a Zero RPM fan mode. This means the fan remains off under low loads, resulting in near-silent operation for everyday tasks and light gaming. The fan only spins up when thermally necessary, keeping noise levels in check even under higher loads. Performance Under Load: In terms of performance, the RM750e delivers stable and reliable power. Load regulation on the primary rails is generally very good, ensuring consistent voltage delivery to your components. Ripple suppression is also strong, contributing to the overall stability of your system. While efficiency can see a noticeable drop at 115V AC compared to 230V AC, and ultra-low load efficiency might be considered mediocre, these factors are unlikely to significantly impact typical user experience. For most gaming and productivity workloads, the RM750e performs admirably. Build Quality and Longevity: Corsair has opted for a HEC/Compucase OEM for the RM750e, a reputable manufacturer. The internal components are neatly arranged, and while it might not feature the absolute top-tier Japanese capacitors found in Corsair's higher-end RMx series, the industrial-grade, 105°C-rated capacitors are still of good quality and contribute to reliable performance. The compact 140mm length of the PSU makes it easy to fit into a wide range of PC cases, including smaller form factor builds. Corsair also backs the RM750e with a 7-year warranty, providing peace of mind. Pros: * ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compliant with native 12V-2x6 connector: Future-proof for modern GPUs. * 80 PLUS Gold efficiency: Reduces power consumption and heat. * Fully modular design: Excellent for cable management and aesthetics. * Zero RPM fan mode: Near-silent operation at low loads. * Compact 140mm depth: Easy to install in various cases. * Good ripple suppression and load regulation. * 7-year warranty. Cons: * Efficiency drops more noticeably at 115VAC compared to 230VAC. * Component quality (e.g., non-Japanese capacitors) is a step down from the premium RMx series, though still perfectly adequate for its price point. * Some reports of coil whine, though this can be subjective and vary by unit. Conclusion: The CORSAIR RM750e (2025) is an excellent power supply for anyone building or upgrading a modern PC. Its ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compliance with the native 12V-2x6 connector is a significant advantage, making it ready for the latest graphics cards. Coupled with its 80 PLUS Gold efficiency, fully modular design, and quiet operation, it offers a fantastic balance of features, performance, and value. While it may not have the absolute bleeding-edge components of higher-tier PSUs, the RM750e (2025) provides robust and reliable power that will serve most users very well for years to come.

Silent, powerful, and fully future-proof PSU
The Corsair RM1000e (2025 model) is an outstanding power supply that delivers clean, stable power and runs almost silently. I’m using it with an i9-14900K and RTX 5080, and it handles the system effortlessly. Being fully modular makes cable management super easy, and the inclusion of a 12V-2x6 cable means it’s ready for the latest GPUs without needing adapters. It’s ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 compliant, so it’s properly future-proof for upcoming hardware. The build quality is excellent, with 105°C-rated capacitors and a quiet fan that only spins up under high load. It’s also Cybenetics Gold certified, showing it’s both efficient and reliable. Overall, it’s one of the best PSUs you can get for a high-end gaming or workstation build. Quiet, efficient, modern, and built to last.

Excellent PSU — Solved My Reboot Issues Instantly
Installation was straightforward, and the unit itself feels solid and well‑built. My PC case is over 10 years old and quite large, so the only minor challenge I had was that the SATA power leads could have been a bit longer. I did manage to make them reach, but I had to route them more directly rather than neatly behind the chassis. Once installed, the power supply has been absolutely flawless. It’s completely quiet in operation — no coil whine at all — and I’ve had zero issues under load. Most importantly, it has completely solved the random rebooting problems I was experiencing with my old, failing PSU. I’m currently using standard PCIe power rather than the newer 12V‑2x6 connector, but it’s reassuring to know this model supports the latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards for future upgrades. Corsair is a brand I trust, and this purchase reinforces that. I installed a Corsair PSU in a family member’s PC almost two years ago, and that one has been perfectly reliable too. Overall, this is a dependable, quiet, and modern power supply that has performed exactly as I hoped.

Performs as it should
Easy to install, cable quality leading to each component are spot on, acts as a 850watt power supply should, Not too pricey compared to other sources, functional and performs well.

Great value
Overall great, quieter than my old PSU and the fan doesn't run when under light loads. Very efficient which is nice as that results in less heat being sent into the room. Super easy to install and wire as the power supply is modular. Cable length is more than enough for any size case

Not bad
It makes clicking noises while heavy gaming, it seems to do it less frequently as time goes on. Coming from a 2000s PSU to this modular psu is great otherwise.

Great Unit - but be careful if you are buying returned item
purchased as a returned item , however it had not been checked as some of the cables were missing - crucially the 8+4 cable required to boot my motherboard. Have had to spend another £30 to get the item at full price but at least then I know all the cables will be present. Will do a separate review on the complete item
