Is this flour gluten free?

I don't know, for sure, about this particular tapioca flour, but MOST tapioca flour is gluten free. I don't use it as a baking flour, however, just as a thickener in pies and pastries.

Will this product make a nice silky gravy? Thanks

I haven’t used it for gravy, but it makes sense that it would. It’s a thinking agent that makes pudding so it should work as a gravy. Google it!

More research.... tapioca comes from a plant and when I think of tapioca I think pudding with little balls in it that are jello like on the outside and rice like on the inside, my kids call them fish eyes. As for tapioca starch or flour I figure it is a product of the tapioca balls I am used to using. Product does not appear to me to be mislabeled.

Great for hair,bag came broken.

I can't speak for the flavor, but it is amazing as a dry shampoo. If you look at all high end dry shampoos (powder not spray) they with have tapioca or corn starch and one of the main ingredients (Bb Pret-a-powder is a great example of this). I keep it in my purse in a tight travel shaker that you would use for seasoning. If i'm looking a little oily I do a few shakes, ruffle my hair,run a comb though and i'm good to go. Pret-a-powder is $14/1oz while this is $0.36/oz so this is a great deal that is shiped right to my door. I did lose quite a bit in shipping because the bag broke but other than that its grate.

Product good, Price 3x as much as locally

Paying 3x the price of a small Asian market for the convenience. The product is fine, well sealed, but will not purchase again now that I found a small market ten minutes away that sells it for less than $2.

I purchased this to use when making body butter. It works just as I hoped it would. Tapioca starch cuts down on the greasy feeling of the oils and adds a nice silky texture. This little bag goes a long way. I only use 2 tbsp per pound of oils/butters.

Buyer beware.

The Nutritional Facts photo on the website says 9G carbohydrate got the package and it says 25G carbohydrate.. I think what happened is that the serving size is different on the package I got but 28 grams is about two table spoons and 9 X 2 = 18 not 25.. so there are some extra carbs in the new packaging/formula or the Facts are off. update the photo to the new packing please...

Great product

Great product. Well packaged. Look forward to using it again. Used in a gluten free cake -- the family loved it!!! Nice to have a place to get these kinds of items since gluten free products out here in the boonies are hard to come by.
