I was sceptical as this is a much cheaper version of the ones I saw advertised online however I can say that it’s the best tool I have used for my feet. They feel smoother than ever. It’s a little tricky to hold but once you get it you’re fine. I did over do my toe which was a bit sore but that’s because it works so well you don’t have to go in hard. Overall it is a great product and I recommend it. Especially for the price

What an amazing tool! I have regular hard skin build up and a few swipes of this and it’s gone, soft skin, very clean and crispy to hold, hygienic, and don’t have to apply much pressure, value for money, recommend and would buy again

This does the job in just a few minutes. Would recommend if like me you were fed up sitting for ages trying to get smooth heels. This file is so course I don't doubt other reviews where they've made their feet sore filing too much, I think it could easily be done. I do wonder if the ones with a handle would be more comfortable to use but I wasn't sure if they would be course enough - the description wasn't good enough. I found it easier to do one foot more than the other but it was still very effective. Quick rinse and it's brand new again. It's a shame there isn't a finer file on the other side just for that super smooth finish but I've a million of those already so not a problem.

The first file I had, from Mont Bleu, was double sided and I felt wasn’t really removing any dead skin, only buffer it, which would leave skin smooth, but the skin still thick. The second file, a metal one from Lily England, was very unforgiving, and I ended up taking too much skin away and hurting myself as the original glass file never really did anything so I kept just working away without realising. So I returned back to the glass file solution as I knew that no matter how much I used it I would be safe. For this third option I was sure to get one with the same file pattern as on the metal file, because I knew that its design would remove dead skin cells, and I was right. However, because it works the same way it too also left me raw, as I thought that glass files couldn’t do that, but that was user error on my part. I instantly missed the softer buffer file from the original Mont Bleu file I had as this file only has texture on the one side unfortunately, the other side left as smooth as polished glass. The commonality I noticed about these glass files was that they are designed to be conveniently used on dry skin, so the instructions are plain wrong : do not use this file on wet skin. The only time water is needed is to wash the dead skin cells built up between the teeth during use, otherwise the file won’t work. One reviewer complained that the file was too slippery when wet, which is true, but that should only occur whilst washing it. Unlike the first file I got from Mont Bleu, running tap water instantly washed the dead skin cells away from the file’s teeth, where as with that original Mont Bleu file I had to use a nail brush, but the patters are different between the two, so that is a plus for this file. I like the total working surface area of this tear-drop design, the textured side gives a lot of grip and wish that the smooth side had a buffer option, if anything to allow for a more reassuring grip. The file does what the Mount Bleu file didn’t and removes skin easily, so long as you don’t need anything too aggressive, but like the metal file you can take too much away, so be careful. UPDATE: 8th November, 2022 It’s been 461 days (1 year, 3 months ad 4 days) since I purchased this file and began using it. This, of all three of the files that I tried, was the one that I kept using, through all four yearly seasons, not just for the sunny period when needed. I have since found that using the file directly after a shower actually works best, so my original advice was misplaced. There will be a lot less dry skin cells to deal with if the skin is plump with moisture directly from a shower/bath. However, the file does work well on dry skin, only you will need to keep washing it as the teeth begin to clog up, leaving it just sliding across the skin’s surface. The file will not remove too much thickened skin, but will leave you smooth, so it’s not a replacement for anything like a professional service, or DIY setup. However, as a single tool, and for a man, the fact that I still reach for this a year later proves its low maintenance and useful ness once every two weeks to get the job done (just set a Reminder on your smartphone). If you want your man to be softer then get this, because it only needs to be run under the tap to clean it. UPDATE 21st April 2025 (1359 days, 3y, 8m, 20d): Still something I reach for, this has become quite routine for me. It likely because it is quick and easy (as a male) to use and to wash and put away. I found that it leaves me smooth, rather than soft. I can tell because of neighbouring digits that don't need attention, but soft enough. Any competing tools that rely on a more a aggressive texture, be they metallic or glass, don't leave me wondering, because it just means that I need to repeat the application, or apply it more firmly, so the tool can leave one sore, so curb your enthusiasm. With just a quick rinse under the tap, a little detergent (if you can spread it), the file is clean and will air dry upon its flat side (be sure to carry it in a tight pincer movement, between fingers, so it does not slip from them). It works well, for those without need of too much attention.

I was skeptical that this would work and after playing football for many years I’ve got terrible hard skin on my toes and heels. After one use, I can actually feel things for the first time in years where the hard skin was. It’s smooth and I cannot believe it. It seemed like it wasn’t doing anything for the first few seconds but then suddenly loads of skin was coming off. It probably took me 10 minutes, and I soaked my feet first as it said to. The product was fine to hold and I didn’t get any soreness. Best thing I’ve ever used.

This is unreal at removing dry skin but beware if you use it too much in one place it’s like a graze to your skin and your heel could split, as happened with me. Totally my fault but I was so impressed at how much was coming off I didn’t stop! I couldn’t walk comfortably for a few days but that’s only because this tool is sooooo good at what it does. Great price as well and lovely flamingo design. It fits nicely in your hand too - just the right size to hold. Really impressed at this and am using it much more sensibly and sparingly now!!

J’ai longtemps hésité avant de commander ce produit; en comparaison avec des articles similaires; honnêtement, celui-ci est (selon moi) le meilleur. Franchement c’est qualitatif, et le rapport qualité-prix est au rendez-vous ! L’emballage fait quali, la râpe vient avec un petit sac pour le transport, un socle percé comme décrit, et même une petite notice d’utilisation qui est fournie à l’intérieur. Et le truc le plus notoire; Évidemment; Ça fonctionne très bien ! Efficient, hygiénique, durable. Franchement, ça vaut le coup.

I dont usually leave reviews but this one felt worthwhile. I went into this with a lot of scepticism bc I had never heard of glass foot files but I’m actually really surprised at how good this one is. It literally files everything away in a couple of seconds and doesn’t get dull after a couple of uses like other files I’ve tried in the past (I’ve been using it for a couple of months now and it works the exact same as when I first bought it)

I was wanting , no, NEEDING a foot file that wasn’t a scary metal monster ! Luckily I found something so different but so comfortable & easy to use that doesn’t harm healthy skin if not careful. SOSO easy to clean too! Definitely makes foot care at home a dream! Just as easy to use on dry feet as if you were to use after soaking your feet . ZERO complaints! Would highly recommend !

I have super dry feet and bought this glass file to use. It’s easy to hold and grip and makes my feet silky smooth for the first time ever. Very easy to use and so fast. Easy to keep clean and skin removal is painless, quick, and effective. Prefer this over a pumice stone or electric foot file, and love that I don’t need batteries for it and that it’s easy to store. Highly recommend!
