Compact, airtight ammo storage
I was initially hesitant to order these ammo cans from an untested seller, as I have read mixed reviews online about people getting products that were not to spec, were damaged, or were simply poor quality. These ammo cans arrived exactly as advertised, and I have been so happy that I doubled my order and got more. Here's what I like: - The seals are in great condition - The boxes are freshly painted and have little to no imperfections - The latch mechanism feels very sturdy and provides a solid closure - The handle is robust and stands up to lifting VERY heavily packed ammo cans (more on this below) - The cans are easily stackable and stand up to a lot of overhead weight I bought the 30 cal ammo cans instead of the 50 because I wanted to keep my ammo in more manageable portions without having the cans getting too heavy, and because I can stack these two deep and two across in my Stack On gun cabinet and they take up exactly half of the space, with enough left over for 4 rifles. The main thing I wanted to know before I bought these was how much ammo they would hold. With loose packed ammo, my experience is roughly as follows: - A little over 500 rounds of .223 / 5.56 - About 1000 rounds of pistol ammo, a little more for 9 mm and .40, a little less for .45 - About 100 of 12 gauge 2 3/4 inch shotgun shells - I didn't have enough 22 to fill up one can but I would estimate it is over 3000 rounds An ammo can full of pistol rounds weighs about 30 pounds and is by far the heaviest of all the fully packed cans. Generally I keep these in the bottom of the stack - not because I think the cans won't stand up to the weight, but just so I don't have to lift them up and down. PROTIP: for long-term ammo storage, take your ammo out of the cardboard boxes, which can retain moisture, and throw a desiccant in with the ammo. The ammo cans are airtight and the desiccant will eat up the moisture inside. I use the 40 gram Dry Packs, which have an indicator showing when they've absorbed all the moisture they can -- you then bake them for a few hours to restore them to working condition.

Excellent ammo case.
Excellent, sturdy construction. Easy to carry, lockable, and good craftsmanship and materials quality. The seal is really good as well, and with some desiccant silica gel packs it keeps my ammo nice and dry in spite of the humidity. Carrying handle is comfortable to carry as well.

A well made ammo can
This was the perfect box that I was wanting. I needed a storage box for a small trailer to store my straps and some other small stuff. I have a few surplus cans and did not want to paint one to match the trailer, figured it wouldn't hold up. The paint on this one is done well. The lid also seals so well, I ended up drilling a 1/16" hole in the bottom of it to allow it to vent any moisture from the straps.

Great multipurpose ammo cans
Good looking, strong. I purchased 3 of these and am very happy. The only drawback is the hasp gets caught on the lid due to tight tolerancing. Used for storage of flammables - great investment for my purposes.

Sturdy and tight fitting
I purchased this for a snack container for my front porch. I have many delivery personnel and contractors who come to the house and I don’t want them having any medical problems when they’re here. I previously had a plastic box with lid that the thug squirrels in the neighborhood chewed through while they were stealing snacks. I wanted a secure stainless steel box that would stop the squirrels in their tracks, bonus points if it had a tight latch. I had been looking for a few weeks when I came across this ammo box. I liked that the measurements would fit the snacks, that it was lockable if I needed that and that the latch was beyond a squirrel’s mental faculties for figuring it out. I watched the video of the guy demoing it in a pool and loved that this box is also waterproof. I was pleasantly surprised that the price wasn’t higher. If at some point I stop doing snacks, this box has endless possibilities besides using for ammunition. I read that the welds were tight as well and this should help to keep the furry, freeloading bandits out of this box. Good luck chewing through it.
