1. As long as the resin (the filter inside the canister) is kept wet in its water it should last without going off in storage. You can close the valve at the bottom of the unit to keep the water inside. Water reading up to 10ppm on the meter should give good results, after that yo may start to see watermarks.2. Hard water just means the resin inside the unit will be used up more quickly and you'll need more replacement resin than if you had soft water. Giving a length of time before resin changes is difficult as it is affected by other variables too. If you keep an eye on the built in meter on your first use you'll soon get an idea how long it will give you in future. If you have hard water. you may find you use more resin than anticipated.3. Using water or a squeegee on ground the floor is a personal option. You can clean any 'wet washable' surface with this system. If your windows don't come up gleaming and your water is still pure then probably there was some form of contamination or your technique still needs to be refined a little (don't forget to clean the frames, rinse the windows when you finish the cleaning, and allow enough draining time between upstairs and down).

I have no idea tbh...I tend to clean windows cool on drizzly days or when rain is forcast later.. never clean them on hot/warm sunny days.

That all depends on the quality of the water in your area and how hard it is to be honest...I wouldn’t want to make a prediction really.

Q: Does this bring the ppm to 0 in a hard water area eg Suffolk?

Probably not. Should be 10 or less for purer water (solar panel cleaning, etc.) but up to you for less critical uses I suppose
