An excellent value for the quality you get.
LavAzza makes a quality product! According to the labels on the box this shipment came directly from LavAzza distribution to Amazon to me, - Which I like, no other parties involved. The pods were packed well in good packaging, so the pods were in good condition when they arrived. I have had issues in the past with other brands arriving all banged up, but this shipment arrived in good condition. My order arrived a day late even though I have prime, but that’s OK, it’s still got here fairly quickly. The taste of the coffee is very good, which is what I would expect from LavAzza. Personally I prefer the darker blend capsules, with my favorite being Armonico. Other customers must feel the same, because Armonico is the one pod that you get two boxes of instead of one. The decaf pods are good too, though they’re not as dark or rich as the other two types of espresso pods. The two types of Lungo pods are good too, though again they are lighter blends and not as rich as the espresso pods. I also like that the name of the coffe type is printed on the foil of each pod, should you keep your pods in something other than their original box. The negatives to buying this brand are minimal, but they include the following: - The pods are constructed of plastic rather than aluminum (Nespresso, Pete’s, and Starbucks use aluminum to construct a higher quality Nespresso-compatible pod.) - Foil is used for the top and bottom of the pod, which is less durable then the hard plastic or aluminum used buy some other brands. - The pods are of a non-standard shape and design (Meaning: With ridged walls and other slight differences they look a little different than the standard Nespresso pod design) - However.. I have not had any issue at all with the LavAzza pods fitting in any of my official Nespresso machines. Overall I think these LavAzza pods are an excellent value for the quality you get. I have purchased them before, and I will buy them again. Despite some very minor drawbacks I still give these pods five out of five stars. I just wish they would start constructing their pods out of aluminum and instead of plastic.

Very nice!
Really like it. Haven't tried them freshly ground, but when it comes to Lavazza pods - they are better for me than other brands. Just the right amount of flavor and boldness.

Wonderfully full espresso; perfect for a cappuccino
Bester tasting espresso; much better than the coffees that were included with my Nespresso Essenza Mini and milk frother. I bought the nespresso because I wanted a "no fuss" cappuccino occasionally, without storing and grinding more beans (still make pour over coffee for the mornings). I was considering returning my machine because the coffee just wasn't that good. I went to look for third party capsules. I have always felt Illy makes the best espresso for a proper machine, but their capsules are prohibitively expensive, so I went with the Lavazza capsules (always a distant 2nd, in my opinion) Thankfully, I was not disappointed! The first brew was fantastic, exactly what I was looking for. Very thick creme, deep taste. I highly recommend these capsules. Concerns people have posted I have not experienced. Sometimes there is little bit of water that comes out at the beginning. But it's a tiny amount and only happens about 50% of the time. It could be a machine issue, not a capsule issue. As for loading the capsules, it's true, they sit in the channel deeper than the Nespresso capsules, and look like they will not go in, but, I have *never* had one fail to load. So don't worry, these capsules do fit! I am looking to purchase their Lungo capsules soon, so look for my review on those!

Good price, great coffee!
Great tasting coffee and a good deal for the price. I was looking for an alternative to buying more Nespresso capsules. I used these capsules to make my iced Americanos.

Consistent Quality and Flavor; Delicious!
It’s true Italian espresso that has sold flavor and gets the job done. GOOD MORNING, MORNING!!! Flavor profile are consistent with espresso; smooth, nutty, smokey with some notes of caramel, and a slightly floral nose. That’s what I would say if I knew anything about the flavor profiles of coffee. Alas, espresso is purely utilitarian for me; four shots at a time with a long shot of hot water and some heavy cream. No sugar please. We’ve been enthusiastic Nespresso fans for many years, and for many of these years we ordered hundreds of pods at a time in order to qualify for free shipping and next-day delivery. It was a great set-up. Then one day Nespresso opened up free shipping to everyone, with much lower order limits, and it became anyone’s guess when our coffee would actually arrive. Not cool. We were introduced to Nespresso while living abroad, and simultaneously thoroughly enjoying the Lavazza cafes. We were ecstatic to see Lavazza Nespresso pods show up on our local grocer’s shelves, and for slightly less than the Nespresso pods. We bought a box, and did not regret it. Here on Amazon the price is right, and I enjoy these pods alongside Nespresso pods and Peet’s Coffee Nespresso pods. These are plastic pods with an aluminum foil top. They deliver consistent shots, and consistent flavor. Similar pods from Amazon, Trader Joe’s, and myriad other knock-off pod makers struggle with consistent streams through the pod. Some blow out, some send clear water around the shot - if you’ve tried them you know what I’m talking about. It’s frustrating to spend that money and have the pods fail. These are quality pods that deliver a quality product. Now for my credibility. Some of you guys can weave poetry with your connoisseurs lexicon of espresso appreciation. That’s not something I care about. This is not artisan espresso from a fancy panaderia or high end cafe. I don’t know whether or not it is in that arena. For me the flavor is great, the consistency is there, and the price is almost perfect.

I bought quite a lot of boxes and found that the expiry date was just a few months away. I like Lavazza but supplier should be more transparent about the product it’s selling.

Order a variety pack but received Armonico for all 6 boxes, so obviously displeased. Also, as others have pointed out, unlike competitor brands, the capsules are not fully aluminum but partly plastic. Espresso tastes fine though.
