Great for General Fitness, not Specialized Training
I wanted to wear this a few months before posting a review to really try it out. This is the fifth Polar product I've had, including more expensive watches and fitness monitors. I have to say, despite it looking massive on my puny wrists, it is perfect for my needs. In fact, I wear it day and night.Up front, it needs to be said that if you are a serious athlete in a specific sport, then this watch is probably not for you. It is a nice fitness tracker for those of us who are more generalists in nature and don't need specific training data - lap times, splits, etc. Here's why I love this watch:-It tracks the basic data I care about, namely steps, sleep, fitness level, heart rate, heart rate zones, and it does it without the pesky chest strap. Big improvement!-The various touch screens allow me to easily see where I am for my fitness level throughout the day, but there isn't so much data it is overwhelming- which was my previous experience with Polar.-It is comfortable to wear, and I sleep with it on.-It has a timer for the days I need to track my running pace and shows me the break down of where my heart rate is during various training zones.-It has the option to be interchanged with other color bands, in case you get tired of a certain color Kind of the Pop Swatch craze of the late 1980's.-One of my favorite things - I can sync the watch directly with my Polar Flow app on my phone. This is a big deal because with the other products, you had to plug them in directly to the computer, and half the time the Polar Sync application failed to start. In fact, this is what happened to my M400 - it just stopped syncing with my computer. There are a few negatives:-I have very small wrists, and even with the small band, this watch looks pretty huuuuge and manly on my skinny kid looking wrists.-It isn't the most aesthetic thing in the world - definitely not something Steve Jobs would be proud of, so on days I need to dress up for work, this isn't the look I really want.-It's kind of pricey for what it is - a glitzed up basic fitness tracker with a few more bells and whistles. However, I think you are paying for no chest strap, which is fairly newer technology, and a color, easy to use touch screen.-Syncing with the computer is still a pain- clumsy and doesn't work half the time.Overall, for what I do, which is part time group fitness and running, I love this product.

Best fitness tracker that I've had and I've had quite a few
This is a nice easy to use tracker. I've had cheap and more expensive trackers and this to me is the best. I have had it now for 3 months.I replaced my Garmin Vivosmart4 with the Polar A370. It's so much more accurate. I can get more info on the tracker than I did on my Vivosmart4. After I had it for a while my Vivosmart4 had wildly inaccurate heart rate, stairs, step tracking. I contacted Vivosmart4 and upgraded firmware and it didn't fix it, so I bought the A370.I believe the A370 is quite accurate. When I first checked, it was quite accurate. Steps were possibly 5-10% off. I compared heart rate to a finger monitor and it was about the same. Exact accuracy is not a big concern for me. I use it to benchmark activity from day to day.The buttons to wake the device and to navigate are good - much better than my Vivosmart4. On the Vivosmart4 I could accidentally turn off my workout, or set something off if I rested my hands behind my back, or bumped it.I have a small wrist, 5 7/8 inches and was used to the small size of the Vivosmart4. I thought it might be too clunky, but it looks fine. Also, I can easily read it in sunlight (unlike the Vivosmart4).Some people mentioned that they had trouble connecting to their phone. It always connects for me. The A370 does not have stair tracking but that's not an issue for me.Also, some people mention the short battery charge. I do wish it were longer. However, I just plug it in when I shower, sitting eating dinner, or watching TV in bed at night. It usually isn't fully charged, but it doesn't run out of battery this way either. The band took a bit of getting used to it. If the elastic holders are further away from the buckle it's easier to get the strap into the elastic holders, but I would prefer a normal strap holder.I'm not a runner. I use it for daily activity, weight training, walking, stepper and low impact aerobics. The app is good - at least as good as others that I've used, and there is a web based app as well that's quite good.

Great looking and accurate
Overall, I really like this fitness monitor. It works great and is actually quite accurate. I do light weight lifting, elliptical, treadmill, and swimming and have only very occasionally found the heart rate off from taking my pulse manually. It is quite stylish and normally proportioned for an average sized 5'9 165# male i.e. not big, oversized, or clunky looking. I really like being able to see the different heart rate zones while I am working out. Works great with the Polar Flow app on my iPhone and iPad. The sleep tracking works well and seems accurate. The daily heart rate function works well and provides good insight into my daily activity. It is waterproof and I use it swimming all the time with no issues at all. The little charging port cover is a wee bit of a pain because its so small but otherwise it works fine. I get about 4-5 days between recharging. Recharging is very quick, easily less than an hour, which is nice; I usually charge it up while I am taking a shower and almost never have it go dead on me.The one thing I really don't like and took off one star for is the fact that it doesn't sync with 3rd party (non Polar Flow) apps easily. Its not that it can't be done - its just a bit of a hassle. You have to switch it to heart rate monitor mode in which case you can't use any of the normal heart rate / fitness profile features on the band itself. It also won't record the exercise session to display in the Polar Flow fitness app while in heart rate mode. Having to switch modes and all to frequently re-sync the band (even between even the Polar Flow and Polar Beat apps) was a hassle. I don't know - maybe all fitness bands work that way but it really seems like it should be more seamless. I would really like it if Polar could improve the integration with 3rd party apps on iPhone/iPad.

Looks great , fits great and most importantly works great.
Love it. I have had an a300 for a year and wanted to get away from the h10 chest strap. The battery looks like it will give me 3 full days, about the same as the 300. It would be nice if I could use it with beat and flow as Iile to see the display when I am on the bike or treadmill but it only allows one or the other at one time. A lot more bluetooth syncing than I want to do. Its more comfortable than the 300 and doesn't fall off while I sleep.

Does an excellent job with few flaws
Likes; slim and does not catch in my sleeves, stylish in a minimalist way, the battery charges while I am in the shower and I don't have to hang around while it charges.Dislikes; can take some time to sync with the app and the app software assumes that people sleep for a continuous period. As you get older, you discover that this is not true and it is underreporting my sleep periods, generally two separate ones a night.

Money back please
I was disappointed with this product. It was difficult to use and the battery life was less than one day. I particularly wanted the sleep analysis feature and could only get it to work once. It seemed unsophisticated and the data I was able to get was too simple to what I expected. I have returned the watch at my own expense from Australia.
