Well it lasted a little while
I purchased a couple of these. Was initially pleased. They were perfect to guarantee consistency with my baked goods. But then it completely snapped. It broke into pieces in my hand. My husband couldn't believe as he heard it break and thought I hurt myself. I hope it was just a bad one. My other one still works okay. Fearful of using it though.

Great tool
Not just for ice cream. I use this scoop for cake batter in bundt pans, cupcakes, mini meatloaves, etc. The smaller size acoops are great for uniform sized meatballs, cookie dough, etc.Makes cooking more easier and more enjoyable.
