I bought these beans to kickstart my mornings and they do give a proper strong cup with a pronounced roast character. The smoky, bold flavour is quite satisfying in a cafetière, though it’s not the smoothest coffee I’ve had. Grinding them fresh really helps bring out the aroma, and they seem to stay decent for a few weeks once opened. They’re good value for a big bag if you drink coffee every day. They won’t suit everyone’s taste, as some find the flavour a bit bitter, but I’ve been pretty happy with mine.

This is a perfectly acceptable coffee bean for general purpose use. I have a Delonghi machine and this is a good bean for morning coffee and my wife's cappuccinos and lattes

Great coffee.

Dark with smokey and chocolatey aromas. Too much impact for having black for me, but mixed 50/50 with frothed milk is fabulous. I also mix 50/50 with arabica beans in my grinder to add some high flavours and it is mainly dirty deep bitterness and needs some highlights thrown in to make it more complete to me. Great value and the bag is great for folding over to keep the beans fresh.

Good value for money and some may absolutely love the quality of the beans, but for me I wanted a coffee that would be great for a morning caffeine fix. For day time drinking it was fine, but I found it had too much of a chocolate undertone, which wasn’t the rich roasted coffee taste I was hoping for.

Great tasting coffee, would recommend. Dark roasted, smooth blend goes really well with espresso or latte/ cappuccino.

A little bitter, but overall excellent. Value for money is very good
