It does not close and is separately powered.
The cover does not fit the iPad well. Cannot close it completely. It also is powered separately with an on off button, unlike my old cover which was automatic and powered by the iPad connection. I would not recommend this to others.

Nice keyboard but…
The keyboard is a great design but it takes three seconds to activate and allow typing after you touch the keyboard. I find the very annoying.

Great product for the money.
I have the original one sold by Apple and this one. For the money, this is a much better value. I recommend this case.
