Edit 02: Been using the new one for a while now. It stood well in the wind. Although it gets flipped quickly, it resist well against any breaks. Edit 01 - 1st November 2025 Well, really impressed with their customer service. They reached out to me, gave a full refund and sent a free new umbrella on top of it. Really impressed to see this customer obsession. They wanted me to give another go to the umbrella which shows their confidence in their product. Giving 3 star instead of 1 for this after sale service. I will test it out and if it does good in the windy weather then that definitely deserves a 5 star rating. Original review The umbrella broke on the 2nd use. The wind was not that strong in context of UK's weather. Took it out on a slightly windy day and it broke within 3 minutes of use. I specifically bought it considering the UK weather. Everything else seems good. Easy to use and light weight. But given this experience, it's realy not Worth the money. Not sure if it's this specific item or all modals are like this. Would return it but since i bought it more than a month ago, i can't return it.

Only had it a couple of days and not used it yet, but it appears to be very well made and strong, the release mechanism is so strong it opens in an instant.

Overall it's a nice and sturdy umbrella, comes with life time guarantee which is great. Easy open with a button, though do expect to pull a bit hard to close as the mechanism works that way for auto umbrella anyway. Good size, enough for one person. Chunky when folded but probably because it has a good sturdy frame. Overall happy with it.

I am clearly at that age now where I only buy quality items and I cannot stand sending poor quality items to landfill any longer. I purchased this umbrella in a week of constant rain so it really got its use. It feels excellent quality, the button is easy to use in terms of getting the umbrella up quickly. It functions well, has kept me dry, and has even withstood some pretty strong winds and hasn’t folded or buckled in anyway. The metal frame seems more reinforced than most compact umbrellas. The fact that there is a lifetime guarantee for this product makes it excellent value for money. I appreciate the thoughtful design and letter from the founder. My only notes for people to consider are these: this is significantly heavier in weight than any other umbrella I’ve owned, so it might not be suitable for anyone older or frail or with accessibility issues. I also have difficulty getting it down as you have to push quite hard to reduce the length and get it to lock back into the handle. As it is stronger and fairly large, it is also not as compact as I am used to. For me, these are things I can compromise on for an umbrella that withstands the crazy storms we get here, but I thought I would mention it for anyone considering purchasing who may have strength issues.

The umbrella looks nice, feels well built, and easy to use. Have used in sunny, windy, and rainy conditions - does a good job. A tiny amount of water gets through the wind vents under extremely heavy rain, but this can be mitigated by holding the umbrella at a steady angle. So far it's a reasonable compromise considering how well it's holding up during heavy rain and wind.

Stood up to windy Minnesota fall weather. The handles latch is sturdy as is the overall construction. The closing latch is a little difficult for smaller hands.

Regenschirm kostete deutlich über 30 Euro. Öffnete sich nicht vollständig und hatte ein kleines Loch im Schirm. Bei einer korrekten Qualitätskontrolle wären diese Mängel aufgefallen! Unbrauchbar, geht daher zurück. Meine Fragen bzgl. Rücksendung an amazon. com konnte mir die Hotline von amazon.de nur unzureichend beantworten!

Dear Annelies, This is a 5 star product in every sense of the word. The umbrellas is built strong, yet aesthetic and will serve my purposes for a very long time. With the letter you sent along with the package you said that if I ever have a problem with the umbrella drop you a note on your customer service support line and you’ll send me another one!!!! I’m not writing you on your support line because there is anything wrong with my umbrella. I’m writing to say thank you!!!! I’m in Los Angeles where it truthfully only rains a few times a year, if that. We are a desert. However, over the last few days we’ve had a rain storm, pretty significant for this town. And my umbrella quit functioning. Of course I went to Amazon, I looked around and I found your Tumella and was instantly impressed by the video of the wind tunnel and the umbrella’s strength. Again, not that I need a heavy duty umbrella, it only rains a little in Los Angeles. But I was impressed with how far you went in trying to make a very good product. Something better, more durable, more reliable than the mass market. You wanted to be better than the rest for the sake of the customer!!! This stuck with me. So I purchased it. And by the time it arrived we were still experiencing rain and I got to use my Tumella to my sheer delight. It works perfectly. But all of the above is the lesser reason of why I am writing to you. The envelope you included with the umbrella was so fantastically cute and adorable, I was instantly compelled to write to you. The letter, the font used, the picture of the family, your story of how and why you made this product, was so over the top cute I was thrilled at your extreme desire to make your customer happy. And the fact you were willing to send me a new one if this one somehow stopped performing…just melted me!!!!! This is so very unique in the age of fast, disposable, low quality merchandise. Such a breath of fresh air from an a commercial or industrial viewpoint. I have no idea who you are and I am, of course a total stranger to you. But you, your story, your product, your ability to make a superior product over the rest of the market, and your letter including your beautiful photo of your 5 kids!!! (Are those really all yours???) touched my very heart in a way that has not been done in a long time. Especially by a mass marketed product. Thank you for your product.
