OK product
Fits great and was able to get my braids under this cap. It kept slipping a little but for the most part my hair was dry.

Set it and forget it.
I purchased this cab February 2024 and just getting around to using it in September. The material has held up well. I got a large because I feel I have a larger than average a size head, plus I was planning for braids. I did not have a problem putting it on. It's tight but not too tight where it takes two people. I have nails but made sure not to dig into the plastic with them. I did have a little water seep in but it may have been because of me manipulating it once it was in place. I wore it with a Dri-Fit sweatband but I also made sure that the tightest part of the elastic was sitting as flesh as possible, below my ears and close to my eyebrows. I would recommend setting it and forgetting it to prevent from breaking the seal. I'm still going to have to wash my hair to make sure the chlorine is out, especially around my edges but it's not saturated. The band is damp but nothing to be wrung out. Should work fine if you're not doing a lot of underwater swimming (which I was doing) and just trying to protect your hair from the occasional dip.

Hair Stayed Dry
This cap worked wonders, my hair stayed dry during my water aerobics. It would be nice if there was a cap for glasses wearers.

Downsized vs other long hair cap
This is a review for the downsized version. Please see pics for comparison to the TYR long hair cap and this cap. Quite a difference. I was looking for something for casual swimming hair protection and I think this will fit the bill. Using a well choreographed dance in the pool shower stall, I am able to get my hair into the TYR cap and am very happy with it for lap swimming. It is quite form fitting and keeps most of the pool water out (although I do saturate my hair with tap water prior to putting it on- the purpose to keep as much chlorine out of my hair as possible rather than keep it dry). Not fashionable, but gets the job done. So I was wanting something else that I could use to keep my hair dry while hanging out with kids at the pool or beach, that I could get in easier and wouldn't look like I was about to start a triathalon. This cap is nice and roomy, not tight at all and I have more than enough room for my single braid of hair. It is made of a lighter weight and stretchier silicone than my TYR cap and the opening is larger. This should do fine for "hanging-out" but not "working-out" at the pool and will also work well as a shower cap. I do not think I could use it for lap swimming or trust it to keep the water out as well if I put my head totally under water because the opening is much looser. Hope this helps those trying to figure out what size you might need for your hair quantity and activity level.

Hair Got Wet!
I really wanted to love this swim cap. However, it failed me. I recently took advanced swim training to help polish up my skills as an trained swimmer. Unfortunately I did experience bubbling from the cap and water coming into the cap during swimming in my training session. I do like that the cap does very comfortably fit and cover my head and hair well. It can even cover the ears. I tried wearing it covering my ears and another swim session without my ears covered. It seemed really sealed well on my head without giving me a headache nor causing any damage to my edges. I made sure to push any air pockets out of the cap as well before doing any swim laps or diving. Even before diving and I was just swimming freestyle and backstroke, I kept feeling the cap slightly move and then it did air bubbles every time my head was back in the water. I finally ended up taking the swim cap off because it wasn’t keeping my hair dry and the bubbling kept distracting me while swimming. My hair was wet when I took it off by the pool side. So I’m out of luck for finding a swim cap that will keep my hair dry. Chlorine water consistently on my hair is not good for the health of my hair. I don’t know what I will do. This was my last hope.

100% Dry Hair
Purchased this cap 2 weeks ago for upcoming swim lessons. Well, today I had my first lesson and after 2 hours in the pool learning to float on my stomach and back, then learning to roll over while in those positions required my head to be in the water constantly. At the end of my session, my hair was 100% dry. Tomorrow, I’ll be diving for rings at the bottom of the pool, I’ll come back with an update on how well that session goes; especially with the pressure of going under water and coming back to the surface. Hopefully, I’ll be 100% dry again, or at least close to it. I’ll keep everyone posted. 100% Dry Hair-Day 2 My second day using this swim cap was equally impressive. I started my swim lessons diving in 5 and 6 feet of water diving for rings thrown at the bottom of the pool. After about 45 minutes of this I practiced flipping over frontwards while floating on my back to floating on my stomach; and then from floating on my stomach to flipping forward to end up floating on my back. All of these moves to practice my breathing. I then played an underwater game with my instructor whereas we propelled a rubber torpedo back and forth between the two of us while remaining submerged underwater to control and practice my breathing. After 2 and a half hours in the water, my hair was dry. I must say share that I did not have the cap pulled down completely over my ears during the floating and flipping exercises, since I needed to clearly hear my instructor’s instructions. Therefore, I did have a small amount of wetness at back of my hair. I’m sure water might have seeped in near my ears. I. The end I was 97% dry. This is an amazing cap and I am happy with my purchase.
