Seriously, my fav coffee filter ever! I am a coffee fanatic and own lots. This one is the best hands down. Bcuz it comes apart for two in one uses. Bcuz it doesn’t let anyyyyy grounds thru and bcuz it drains pretty fast too! I absolutely ADORE this reusable filter! The design is superb. If you take it off the base it’s got the little lip/handle part which is what I really bought this for. (My old one was great but left my fingers burned each time as the handle part was too short.. and it left some coffee dregs from filtering also..) This one doesn’t do that! My old one did clean out a tad easier but this one is ez also if you do it after use and I use the little included brush and love it! Just a really solidly designed & well-built product. Not rickety, just very well built, solid, fast, and extremely useful product that I totally love and actually, I may just end up getting another (just in case this one EVER breaks), cuz it’s THAT Amazing! I am so glad I decided on this one. The snap apart feature is awesome and sturdy also for if I want to use it in a carafe instead of on top of my coffee cup. I do believe that this one will last for the long run. (As in for Many Years hopefully.)

I own several coffee-drip/pour-over strainers; however, this strainer is, by far, the best one. It is well-constructed, it somewhat quickly and effectively strains my coffee, leaving no coffee grinds and very little sediments, and is easy to clean. It simply detaches from the bottom, for easy cleaning, and, I’m assuming, if you’d prefer, for use without the base, but it reattaches just as easily, as well. Note: The strainer will strain coffee slowly or quickly, depending on the coffee grounds. From my experience with several strainers, including this one, coffee will strain quickly with the initial pour, but will strain slower as the coffee grounds become completely wet and cements to the sides of the strainer. This seems almost unavoidable. I am extremely happy with this strainer and highly recommend it to other coffee lovers.

I made my first cup of coffee in it this morning. It was perfect--not bitter, with only the finest of grounds in the bottom of my cup at the end. Before, I was using a different, single-layer metal filter from another pour-over rig (that carafe broke, so I had resorted to using a Mason jar), but I wanted a dripper that would sit directly over my coffee cup. This one has much finer holes than that one. By comparison, it takes a little longer for the water to drain through this one (though not a long time, as some reviewers have said), and this means that the contents of the cone flood as I am pouring (at least at the rate that I pour). I feared that this would make my coffee bitter due to prolonged contact between the water and the coffee grounds, but actually I think it had the opposite effect and resulted in a more balanced brew. This filter is a little more of a process to clean, but the included brush helped, and now it's as good as new, ready for my next cup. One caveat is that I didn't try to detach the base; it wasn't easy to pull apart, and I didn't want to dent it or bend it, so I will just keep it together if I can help it. All in all, this is a quality, well-designed dripper, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys or wants to try pour-over coffee.

I really love the design of this coffee dripper, how the top snaps into the bottom. I have used the metal filters that are permanently riveted at the junction of the base and top, and they always end up breaking on me. This one doesn't break because it just comes apart. Very cool! The problem is that something about this filter does not let the water flow through freely enough. Maybe it's the third layer of metal mesh, because I switched to Hario's metal filter after I got frustrated with this one, and that one flows much faster. This filter can take 8+ minutes to seep 350g of water through the grinds. I think the coffee filter of my dreams would be this two-part base and top design mixed with a Hario metal mesh top.
