What happens when it gets a bit wet or sweaty?

You can hand wash your wallet if it gets dirty.

Does it have a place to attach a keychain?

There does not seem to be a loop for a keychain, but there is a pocket dedicated to fitting a single key.

How does it compare to bellroy slim wallets?

I actually compared the Bellroy to this one but I haven't handled the Bellroy. Outside of materials being different, and the overall concept having some major differences, they are similar in what they are designed to do. However, the folding and the leather will make the Belroy start out as a thicker wallet. Adding cards and cash to it will just make it that much thicker. The basics starts out thin with materials and once you add cards to it, it just increases in thickness incrementally. Price is also a significant difference between the two. I think for an everyday wallet, and the intention of staying as slim as possible, the basics wins in all categories. You could essentially buy three basics for less than one of the Bellroy's.

How do you best wash this?

I’m not sure I’d put it in the washing machine, as that would not be appropriate for the materials in my opinion. I have read reviews and FAQ and some people have gently washed or cleaned I should say with a damp cloth. I have a black one so obviously the black is goin to look cleaner as opposed to my grey Nomatic
