Coast KL35R 600 Lumen Rechargeable LED Pocket Flashlight with RED Light

This flashlight is a very good and compact pocket light. Small enough that I use it on my daily keychain but not as small as some other "Keychain" specific lights but definitely usable on one. The 2 buttons for the separate lights feel very nice. The flashlight is plastic but it does feel durable and has survived many drops. All the light modes are great and the access to turbo mode by holding down the button is great to quickly access. The 600 Lumens feel very bright and the throw is nice as well. The side light is very nice and has 2 main light modes and a red static and flashing mode, and compared to the KL30R (Previous Generation) it has a softer edge to the side light. I bought 2 more for my family and 1 more to clip on my Safety Vest working as a Commercial Plumber and it works great. The only downside I would say is that it does not have a magnet anywhere but for the price and everything else I think it is worth it. Would definitely recommend and purchase again.

I originally gave this *three stars because of the bad charge circuit. I will add only use the charge cable Coast provides with the light because according to Coast the electronics in this light seem to be amp sensitive(1-2amps through the cable). I bumped the rating up to five stars because of the customer service. They were great. I replaced two of these models due to the amp sensitivity and when using the third light with their charge cable I haven't had an issue yet. I use this light for work and it is a great light for what I need it for. I like the two light functions. It has a good clip because I wear it on my hat. They replaced the first two lights based on the electronics (charge circuit) failing. I did have to set up an account at their web site and pay for shipping (US) on the first replacement. The second they paid the shipping was well. They were very receptive and definitely interested in keeping my business. They also listened to my concerns about the charge circuit.*Charge circuit or battery flakey. I use this light for work. I work outdoors on electronics some times at night. In my brief experience with it is been bright for size good dual light option very good for multiple tasks fill light and directed beam. I have a usb charger in my truck. I plug my phone and a variety of usb chargeable devices into it. I plugged in this light to recharge it without giving it a second thought. All my other lights including budget friendly Chinese knock offs charge and when full, power themselves off which is the job of the charging circuit. I went to grab my light after it had been plugged in for a while and now with the vehicle ignition off (just turned it off) the car charger which has a red light to show when it is power on was still lit. When I unplugged the coast light it was hot at the battery and charger port and the green charge full light was on. When I unplugged it the USB charger on (red) light turned off which means the power lighting it was coming from the flashlight since the car ignition was off. When I tried to turn the coast light on and off it would not respond and the green light would not turn off. All these are classic signs that the charge circuit of the flashlight was malfunctioning. Eventually it turned off but would no longer charge. After a phone call to coast completing the on line warranty application and $5 shipping fee they replaced it. I received my new light. Used it. Plugged it into my USB charger. It started doing the same thing after just a couple of minutes. I caught it early and disconnected it right away before the battery got to hot. I got all my other rechargeable lights etc and tried to recreate the issue I was having with the coast light making sure it wasn't the USB charger. They all responded normally.I need reliable lights for work I'll be using another brand. Charge circuit on this model coast lights are flakey

Great light, different light modes for the flashlight come in handy and bright enough for what I encounter daily. The bar light works great and has a red mode for emergencies. It fits on my leatherman case and is easy to carry.

Amazing! I work EMS and this is a great tool, fits in my pocket and the brightness is perfect. Such a small item but hands down bright like a full size!! Love it

Works great. I like the area light on the side which is also a red flashing light for emergencies. It’s rechargeable with a USB-C type connection.

Love the features of this light. The size and pocket clip make it very convenient. The 2 sided clip work well on the bill of your hat.
