Very useful
Easy to use. It hasn't taken all the pain away but has reduced it significantly. I can go an entire day without pain killers which is really good, as I used to take a fait good amount of pain killers. Battery lasts for up to 8 hours on high use. Only down side is you need to check the battery prior to using it as it loses battery even when not in use. Over all I am very happy with the purchase.

Avoid this awful product - it’s a complete lie.
I would urge anyone who suffers with horrific period pain, to avoid this product like the plague. It is a complete scam. I have chronic period pain, completely debilitating. This device does nothing, in fact sometimes it seems to make it worse and it’s actually better if I take it off. If you buy through Amazon, you don’t get the guarantee thing they mention on their own website so you can’t return it if it doesn’t work for you. I have had many TENS machines which has worked wonders, but this literally does nothing. This is a cheap little device which has been given a modern look and some excellent marketing, this company is preying on women who are desperate and in need of pain relief. Please don’t be fooled, save your money and go to a proper medical company for a decent TENS machine with different modes. I wasted my money on this one and then couldn’t afford to buy a proper one for months - just don’t do it!

It works but it broke quickly
Brought this for my partner and she said that it worked really well and does what it claims, the product looks nice and comes with a nice small case for keeping it in your hand bag. Unfortunately within the first 2days of use the connection came loose and would need to be pushed slightly to one side to get it to work correctly (this seems to be a common issue from reading other reviews) after 3 days one of the pads completely stopped working. We have had to return the item, hopefully a newer version with a more robust connection and wires will be made in the future.

Good product, poor aftercare if issues arise
The device itself was good and worked well for the pain... however, i had an issue with one of the flowerpad electrodes not working and so contacted livia for a replacement part (as the device itself worked it seemed senseless changing the whole item) it took over a month and a lot of chasing for the replacement part to come (by which point the amazon returns policy had of course expired) additionally there was a £12 import fee for this replacement. As the issue was their fault it seemed unfair for me to have to pay for this.

Its a rip-off
I purchased this item for my daughter who has used it since November for her period pain. The leads to the electrodes have frayed after 2 months and when contacted, the company would not replace them under warranty because it was purchased through AMAZON DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM THROUGH AMAZON AS THERE IS NO WARRANTY

Livia is just a TENS unit!
Honestly, Livia works wonders for your period pains, but that's not because it's Livia, it's because it's a TENS unit. Livia has constantly avoided calling itself a TENS unit which has lead to a lot of people thinking there's something special about its technology that helps relieve period pains however it's just not true. 1) TENS units are really quite cheap - here you're paying a tonne for the packaging & appearance (shame I had to pay so much only to realise after) but I suggest you don't waste so much money on a pretty item. 2) It's not well built! - the electrodes stopped working after my 4th period with it. The wires had snapped or disconnected from inside somehow and simply would not work. TENS units online are much more well built and the wiring doesn't fray as quick. 3) You'll be paying a silly amount for extra gel pads - the gel pads used with Livia are in a pretty little flower design, why? I don't know because it's not very practical. The edges will constantly peel off so you're not getting much use from a one gel pad set and if you choose to reorder, well then just pray your period doesn't start in the meantime cause you'll be waiting a while for it to ship. The Livia does work. If you've had devastating horrid periods then you'll find tonnes of relief with it, but you'll find the same thing with any TENS unit, it's just a shame that they asking you to pay so much for something that is actually very easily accessible elsewhere. The only positive about Livia? It's compact. That's it.

I know this product is for menstrual cramps, however I actually use it on my lower back on my right side. I’m going through menopause and a weird side effect is the pain in my right lower back. It helps quite a bit, believe it or not. The only thing I don’t like is the gel pads. That’s a total texture thing for me though.

Do not buy this product, it is a complete marketing scam and a rip off. It is absurdly overpriced and the product is so fragile I’d have though I bought it from the dollar store. First of all, mine completely stopped working after a couple months of use. Second, the battery barely lasts a few hours so you can’t just grab it and go and forget about it when you’re having a bad spell of the cramps. And it takes a while to recharge. Also, even when the battery is fully charged, it delivers a patchy electrical stimulation. It’ll be totally off and then randomly deliver a shock. I have to manually press down on the two little flower things to keep a consistent stimulation, and this is even when I have fully replaced the gel pads (which are also a huge waste of money to replace) In terms of effectiveness, it does work to alleviate some of your period cramps but not nearly as well as advertised. I have extremely severe cramps and I take medications and I used his product to bridge me over until the pain medication started to take effect. Not by any means does it ‘take away’ the pain. I actually find the zapping very uncomfortable and almost painful, but it’s another kind of pain that distracts from the pain of period cramps. It’s not something I feel comfortable wearing to work. The electrical stimulation is quite noticeable and distracting when worn. I am very frustrated with this defective product, especially considering how much it costs. I suffer from really severe cramps and sometimes the time it takes for pain medication to kick in as unbearable. This product was not a solution to that. I wish I could get my money back. I regret wasting my money on this product. I would never recommend it to anyone.

I love this product! It helps significantly with the cramping pain.I pretty much am super crampy for the first 30 hours of my period and need the Livia throughout that entire time. The battery unfortunately only seems to last 6-8 hours and takes 5 hours to charge, meaning I could only really use it for half the time I needed it. For the price, it should have a better battery. I found that it works so good though, that I bought a second one, so that I can always have one charged and ready to use (this was pretty expensive for me though, since they are $200 each). Overall very happy except for the battery. Using Livia has made me able to function normally on the first 1.5 days of my period and not have to stay home feeling like I am dying.

I've been using my Livia for the first time today. Overall I am happy with the purchase. The down side: ~For a TENS unit this is pretty pricey. Less expensive ones are available, though many of them looked more bulky and less convenient if you're on the go. ~The electrodes don't seem to fit in the carrying case, I have tried putting them in there a bunch of ways and they just won't fit. That's super dumb. The case should fit the electrodes, charging cord, and unit. I also think the case would be better if you could close the lid while charging. ~Despite the advertising that the gel pads should last through at least one period, I've taken them off then reapplied once and they are already losing their stickiness and don't stay on my skin very well. I'll be surprised if they last one more use. ~There is glue all over my skin now. Also it works better than a wax to remove any hair you might have. If like me you have a pelt, shaving is a good idea. The up side: ~It works great. Removed the pads once to position them better. ~My cramps are more in my back and it worked great when stuck to my back. Stuck the unit in my back pocket and pulled my shirt down. ~After an initial increase in muscle tension, I think because I had it turned up too high, it actually allowed my muscles to relax a bit. Keep it at a nice low tickle. I am happy with this and intend to keep it, it really worked well and I would definitely suggest you give it a try (and it's returnable if it doesn't work for you).

I bought this product over a month ago and i have used it for two periods now and it is phenomenal. The price is pretty high but in all honesty I would buy it again without any hesitation. My husband was the one to convince me to buy it for the higher price I have not regretted it. You put on the electrodes and turn the device on and it immediately helped me with my cramps. I used to be taking Advil or Midol two to three times a day and now I may just have to take one before bed because I charge my Livia over night. Highly recommend to everyone!
