I have been an audio professional for around 25 years and often have always maintained abilities to fix things with pretty stellar results. I recently picked up a Peavey Triflex II system with blown satellites. Peavey made it quite difficult to find a direct replacement for their product and I stumbled across the PRV products. I ordered a a replacement that met all of the criteria but Amazon lost my package. In a time crunch, I came back to Amazon and ordered the Timpano TPT-MD10 V2. It was delivered in three days with no issues. I was very impressed with the build quality of the speaker. A quick check of the mounting holes and we were smoothing sailing on installation. Overall, the baskets were similar and magnets only off by 10oz or so. Definitely a beast of a speaker. Testing of the product worked out quite well and I was able to push 250w into it with no issues. Just to break it in, I ran some sweeps and tests at 400w and was thoroughly impressed with how solid the speaker performed. Compared with the original woofer in the Triflex, this one seems a little quieter overall but frequency wise it is quite close.

Have six (6) of them in a custom built box in the trunk and they hit hard. I now prefer mid bass over subs.
