The only one keyboard with Touch ID
It doesn't make much noise when typing, which is nice for places where the noise matters, and if you care about the Touch ID, it is perfect for it.

So glad I bought this
My old one broke. This is the replacement and it works perfectly.

Pricy but works flawlessly
Despite it's open box used, the keyboard itself is almost brand new. Happy with the purchase. The keyboard touch ID is very easy to use, no need to setup again, will take whatever you entered on the computer automatically.

Charging takes forever, otherwise great
Small footprint. Aesthetics are nice. Key action is respectably smooth, but still with good feedback. I sometimes wish I got the one with the number pad, but that's rare. My main gripe is that the battery seems to die faster than the magic track pad, and BOTH of them take FOREVER to charge. They are both the lightning cable/port models, so maybe this has changed with the changeover to USB-C. I just want them to charge like 4x as quickly compared to what they do.Otherwise I love it.

Make sure your MacBook has APPLE SILICON for the touch ID work!!
Make sure to check your Apple device model to confirm that it has Apple Silicon ✅ and not Intel ❌.I previously had an older MacBook Air with Touch ID, but it was equipped with an Intel chip instead of Apple Silicon. As a result, even though the MacBook had Touch ID, the Magic Keyboard's Touch ID feature did not work because my MacBook lacked Apple Silicon.Since I was due for an upgrade, I decided to get a new Apple model. All the current models with M-series chips (M1, M2, M3, M4, etc.) come with Apple Silicon. Now, the Magic Keyboard Touch ID works perfectly! 😁
