Muzata Cable Cutter Wire Rope Cutter Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Aircraft 1/8" 5/32" for Deck Railing Bike Housing Metal Fence CR12

I bought this tool for cutting 1/8" stainless steel wire rope. I am building a fence and need to do a lot of cutting and crimping. I have tried it on 1/8" rope and on smaller sizes as well, both stainless and regular steel. The tool cuts cleanly and very easy. At my 71 years old I am not the strongest man in the world, but I can easily cut a 1/8" rope with one hand. After the cut the individual wires stay intact and I have no problem inserting the cable into a sleeve for crimping. Some of the reviews say the jaws are straight and they damage a cable. This is not true. When the jaws are closing for a cut, they form a tear-drop opening as you can see on the first picture. They are cutting the cable from all sides, that is why it stays intact. The spring keeps the jaws open and its strength is just right. The lock can be operated with one hand and is quite secure. One drawback - when jaws are open, the handles are too far apart to operate with one hand. It is not a big deal and I fixed it by applying a cable tie over 2 handles to not let them open more than they should. Overall it is a great tool and I am glad I discovered it to use instead of a grinding wheel for cutting.

Small but effective for 1/8" cable

I bought some 1/16" stainless steel braided wire rope to make a clothesline. On each end I needed to make a loop, which I wanted to secure with friction clamps (the same kind that come with this cutter). Every time I cut the wire, it would fray and I wasn't able to slide the cable into the friction clamp. I tried all of my sharpest cutters, but the cable still frayed. I tried for hours; it was no use. So I ordered these cutters and used them today. The cut was smooth, perfect, and NO FRAYING! I did in 5 minutes what I previously spent hours trying to do. Bonus: these are amazing at cutting cable ties. I have several more projects to do with the wire rope so these cutters will get plenty of use, but honestly even if this was a one-time project I would still buy these. They make the job SO MUCH EASIER.

It cuts through the dog runner which is why I got it. The handle is very wide and has to use both hands to make a cut.

Was a little skeptical at first about how these would perform for cutting cable, I will say that I am pleasantly surprised how well they cut. Would recommend

Durable and can cut some thick cables

I'm a truck driver and I needed something to cut seals on trailers. This is perfect for the wire seals.

It’s a good cutter. And second one after I lost the first one. I am happy with it. I use it for cutting the wire seals in the trailers. I can cut double wire at the same time.
