At first I was worried about putting this pol directly on the burner of my old-school electric stove (with the burner coils, not a newer induction burner…) - I was concerned that the ceramic might crack/shatter as the coils heat up. But, so far, bringing the pot from room temp to cooking temp has been great! I’m still not going to tempt fate by subjecting the pot to large temperature swings (like from the fridge to the burner, or from the burner into the sink…), but with a little care, this should be ok. Cooking-wise, this pot has been great! I bought it mainly to cook grains (I’ve used it for quinoa, oatmeal, wheat berries, and farro…) and it’s done a great job. I cooked some quinoa in my enameled cast iron pot, and it came out clumpy and unevenly cooked. In this pot, cooked the same way, following the same recipe with the same amounts of grain and water, it came out nice and fluffy. Same thing with the wheat berries and the farro - following the same recipe gave me perfect results using this ceramic pot vs. the results I got using a normal cooking pot. Next step will be cooking regular white rice - if I can get perfectly cooked rice with nice separate unbroken grains and without huge amounts burned onto the bottom on the pot, I might just replace my electric rice cooker!

I love this pot I use it all the time but it's not convection cooking compatible.

besides that this pot is beautiful, I just made the perfect pot of onion soup. It was easy to control the heat, and the flavors came out perfect. I got the smaller one, for I cook for one. Great size, I cut my recipe in half, after eating I put the balance in the fridge will reheat slowly tomorrow. I'm so happy with this purchase.

I haven't used it yet, but the quality feels good. I can update as soon as I have used it. But thank goodness for needing to wash things before using it. The box came smelling mouldy as if it had gotten wet and then dried and then wet again. I didn't even get to keep the recipe card that was inside of it.
