Excellent! Amazingly compact. Manfrotto quality and stability.

Gave this as a gift. It deliver a lot of features and performs really well for the point: a smooth and ball head with quick secure release plates, reliable leg locks, decent weight, sturdy carry bag with a strap curiously attached upside down to my mind.

Very sturdy 4 section carbon tripod. Separate locking knobs on the head for panning and variable resistance on the ball head. With a max payload of 17.63 lbs, it will hold any of my cameras up to 4x5. I’ve been using an aluminum Manfrotto 190 for the last ten years, and the BeFree Advanced compliments it well. I appreciate the fact that the head’s qr plate clamp is compatible with both Arca Swiss, and backwards compatible with my old RC2 plates. The legs deploy smoothly and provide a sturdy base, the spider connectors lock at 3 angles. The center column can be reversed for low work, and once you get used to it, the twist lock for the center column is a great feature. Usually when I travel, I carry a MF camera; a Rollei or 500 C/M, and a 4x5 camera; either my Graflex Super Graphic or a metal Wista field camera. The BeFree Advanced fits nicely in my kit, providing a lightweight and sturdy base for the cameras I take farther afield, allowing me to relegate my trusty old 190 to cameras that I tend to use...er...closer to the car, like my Century 8x10...

This is a very good tripod for cameras that weigh up to 5 LB max. I like the ease of adjustment and mounting the camera. I think the Price I paid was reasonable. I have used a few old tripods going back to the 60s. this one in lighter and can support my medium format film cameras. It is much lighter that my old "Tilt all" tripod.

Steady. Light weight. Compact. Perfect Travel Tripod. I use it with my Sony A7R5, A7Rii, DJI Action 4, and GoPro. Highly recommend this tripod.

Fits perfectly inside my Trailscape 18L pack but is light enough to not be overly burdensom on a hike. I was also suprised at how sturdy it was with a fairly heavy camera mounted. (EOS R5 with 24-105 L glass lens) I used it to take long exposure shots of the sunrise over the ocean while the legs were in about a foot of water. Of course, I kept a steady and constant downward pressure on the center so that the waves would be less likely to wash the sand out from around the feet. (See image) Overall, a very reliable set up for general use and espeically handy when needing fairly lightwieght equipment while on the move.

worst tripod i’ve ever bought. ball head doesn’t move despite being unlocked. the mount always jams, have to either pry it off or unscrew my camera to get it free. terrible product for almost 200
