Have seen these before on Youtube & thought about buying them. Had not had a real reason to try them until recently with a small model railroad project I'm working on. Bought them yesterday, they arrived today. Already put them to work & then are the easiest way to quickly connect pairs of lines. I'm using multiple wires sizes & the pack I ordered covers 24-10 gauges. have used a few of the 14-16 & 18-22. Both worked like a charge on test pulls, so on the layout. Now have working track power. Ordering more cause im gonna need em. no more press fits that let go after trying these.

Excellent upgrade form using electrical tape for most connections! Strong and durable too!

This product was recommended by an autobody shop on Youtube. I bought this based on their recommendation to rewire the lights on a boat trailer. These connectors made the whole process much easier and they work great. They make nice strong connection and so far they are keeping the water off of the connections. I would recommend this product, especially for trailer and vehicle wiring applications.

The shrink down and the solder melts quite a bit more consistently than the cheap brands I've been using. BUT: I most certainly do NOT like the fact that the 2 ends of the butt connector are different sizes! EXAMPLE OF MY ISSUE: I was connecting two 18gauge wires! My first use of my new VERY expensive SolderStick connectors. Was very interested to see how they worked compared to the cheap ones I've been buying. I grabbed one of the Red banded connectors (22-18 AWG). So my 18AWG wire fit into the 18AWG end, BUT it was TOO BIG for the other end of that connector since THAT end is tapered down to 22AWG. I couldn't use the 22-18AWG connector to connect my two 18AWG wires! I had to upsize to the Blue banded 16-14 AWG wire. That meant I had to shrink the 14AWG end of that connector down to 18AWG, AND shrink the 16AWG down to 18AWG! You can't even use the connector that is SUPPOSED to be used for 18AWG! You have to use the next bigger size! OMG! The only redeeming aspect of all this is that the extra large connector DID shrink down to my 18AWG.
