These are great headphones, fit comfortably, 50mm drivers for a great sound. The problem is, I only use them occasionally and the headphone volume control no longer works, which means I have to keep my phone close to adjust the volume. This defeats the object of Bluetooth connectivity and control.

The sound quality is clear and powerful, especially the bass, which makes music and movies more enjoyable. The primary purpose of my purchase was to go for a headphone with a mic to attend my daily meetings and take calls switching between my phone and workstation! The previous device I had was boat bass heads wired headphones and it also got broken after 3 years of usage. I was happy with its audio quality which is why I went with this one. However, the below issues are making it hard to use the device comfortably. Connectivity: Whenever I connect my Boat Rockerz 550, regardless of the device it's connected to, the volume level goes up to 80! This is really annoying! I have checked on both my Android and iOS smartphones, my Windows Workstation(Win 11), and my Google TV ( Sony X85J). It's the same everywhere! The volume jump also happens right after using the microphone to record something. If we record audio and then try playing it back, the volume immediately goes up for a couple of seconds and then goes back to normal. However, during this jump, unlike when we connect the headphones, although the volume goes up momentarily, the actual volume value displayed on the device doesn't change. Microphone: While taking calls with these headphones, I always get complaints that there's some distortion in my voice and it felt kinda muffled. The same happens when I send voice messages via WhatsApp and attend Video calls and Google Meet. To verify if the issue is my device/network/internal wave disturbances, I checked with my other headset which is an Oppo Enco neckband and the audio was fine. Even during calls, I tried switching to the neckband and they said it was clear and perfect! So it's clear that the issue is only with the Boat Rockerz 550. I wrote to Boat explaining everything which included the audio recordings for reference. Then fixed a call with them and the customer care agent said its a faulty device and I can get a replacement unit! It took me couple of months to decide on it and then I applied for warranty claim! Just today, they send a mail saying that its all working fine and that there is no issue with the device. I called customer support only to get kicked out of the call out of the blue! Absolutely horrible & pathetic customer service! Will never suggest Boat to anybody! This was my last purchase from Boat! Never again!

good sound quality, fits well, value for money, very very long battery life . just 1 lagging that it does not have c pin charging slot

It's weak so handle properly, don't drop on dense surface
