We have always liked Paper Mate pens. These are at the cheaper end of their range and are excellent value. But my wife loves these because they are easy to hold and are comfortable to use. They would probably help someone who particularly struggles with smooth, round, pens.I rarely write by hand, these days, but I like these pens because they are a good compromise between lightweight and easy to carry and being substantial enough to grip comfortably. While they are not gel pens, the ink flows really easily and there is little or no sense of having to doodle, to shake the pen or scratch the paper in order to write. My wife points out that they may need a little encouragement at first, simply to get the ink to the ball, but this is much less than many other pens. While the ink does not feel ''wet'' while writing, there is a more consistent colour flow throughout the strokes; unlike other ball points, where there may be too much ink at one point and too little at another.Obviously, there are dearer pens out there, even from this company. But this type is very good and if you lose it, it is not exactly like losing a Mont Blanc fountain pen.

They're okay for the price. It's a pen.

I bought these pens thinking they were the same my dad used buy. The body is, but for 3 of them, they've actually been updated to a lovely smooth gel ink that is so nice to write with. I was extremely confused and a little disappointed when I looked closer at the red pen and realized it was however not the same as the other 3 and not even a gel ink. It doesn't write as smooth and I have to go over it again in places, not an issue with the other 3. Still, the value for the price is fair in this dismissal economy.

These are my go to for pen purchases. They are lovely to hold and feels nice to the touch when writing. Not found another male of pens that feel as nice to hold as these and for how many you get, are good value for money.
